So who here practises a religion NOT founded in Asia?

A religion founded in Europe or the Americas.
Both. Both is good.

Eclectic Pagan, Hellenic leanings. I am one who fights the Gods when they deserve it. I'm still having a fit that Janus is in charge of computers. Yes, I know he's Roman, not Greek...well, that's the assumption. He's far older but anyway. That's a total mess but at least Caffeina's grace soothes us. Grandmother spider I respect and mostly leave her grandchildren outside. And Grandfather Crow always makes me smile with his antics. O' I miss the celebrations but I am only one instead of a community. The Gods live because they are part of us, a part of me. They never needed my belief in them. But since this asked about religion, I decline voting in the poll as I am often told "personal spiritual beliefs don't make a religion" never mind the fact that's exactly where all religions start. So, yeah. I practice something. I am still on the journey to find meaning within the larger stories about the Gods and life and all of us.

I'd never heard of Grandmother Spider until I read _Lost Gods_, by Brom. There were other gods in that book I'd not heard of prior. A very interesting read. Are you familiar?

No. There aren't that many one name authors so I need to look 'em up. My introduction to Grandmother Spider was from how she stole the sun, in North American folktales. But I prefer the one where she helps coyote steal fire by making a basket to hold the ember instead of having him burn his tail off. It all reminds me fondly of Athena.

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
By Western I mean indigenous to the West, west of Asia, Turkey, Middle East etc.

So no Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Dharmic faiths, Tao etc.
That's fine, I'm very glad you defined what you meant. Scholars of religion divide it a little differently. The boundary for them is not the line between Europe and Asia, but simply to indicate those religions that are further west/east than others.

I just had a question pop into my mind -- what would LDS be considered, since it is indigenous to North America.
