There were plenty of people around who didn't like Jesus such as the snooty priests and their lackeys, the Romans, oddball sects etc, but when the gospels were published NONE of them dared come forward to deny Jesus existed because they knew he was TOO BIG to have been a myth, seen and heard by thousands, and that they'd just be making laughing stocks of themselves.
Even the Koran written 600 years later admits he was a miracle man-

And even the medieval Jewish Toledot Yeshu [The life of Jesus] confirms his existence.
