who is the prophet described in the bible

Pegg

Jehovah our God is One
It has to be Jesus Christ because the prophet Moses described is said to be the 'one you people must listen to'

Jesus as the Messiah is the one God has established to be earths ruler...the entire earthly populations will come under his rulership and so every person will be expected to 'listen to him'

Other prophets came and spoke to the jews at various times, but they are not the ones God raised to heaven to rule over mankind on the throne of David. Just as the prophet Ezekiel foretold regarding the throne of David:

26 This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah says: ‘Remove the turban, and take off the crown. This will not remain the same. Raise up the low one, and bring low the high one. 27 A ruin, a ruin, a ruin I will make it. And it will not belong to anyone until the one who has the legal right comes, and I will give it to him.’
No other prophets were raised to heaven, no other prophets were given authority to rule over mankind. Jesus is the only one given such authority and he was the only one who actively proclaimed that the 'new covenant' was to be established through him. Other prophets spoke of the 'new covenant' but not claimed that they themselves were the ones who would establish it.
