Who or What is *GOD*

Friends,

We are BEINGS and of the Human kind.
We have developed languages, we have reached an understanding that we are part of existence and this existence was, is and will be; rather existence is *TIMELESS, SPACELESS* etc. and that we as a form too are part of IT.

This quality of existence has been understood by humans in different parts of the world and few have realised that essence and today their followers practice the way they had mentioned.
The same concept has been labelled as *God, Brahman, Tao, Allah, etc.

However, the question is Do you as a human first and then as a follower of a particular way or no-way agree to the above?
If not why?

n.b. Personal understanding is that unless we as humans are not untied in our understanding of who we are, progress in all respects will be slow. Ofcourse only in respect to time on the other hand time is of no relevance to the state of timelessness also understood.

In the strictest sense, I use the word god to describe a conscious entity that is self-substantiating.

If, for instance, I'm going to reference spacetime, I'll just call it spacetime. (Though I don't think there's any indication that it is necessarily limitless).

Friend Penumbra,

Though agree with you find that there appears no link between *god* and you.
Personally whatever is labelled *god* is something which includes whatever is *me* in other words am part of that entity or label *god* .

Hi,

Zenzero, to me the existence of a *god* is irrelevant, no matter what you call him. Allah, Jesus, Krishna...whatever. The fact is that we are existing know and we need to act upon it.

Friend Mr. Orange,

Existence itself is labelled *god*.
There is no god that is existing as a person.
Labels are only for understanding.
Even the *I* that is understanding is part of that same essence!

Friend jumpingjoy,

I believe the idea of God is entirely confined to the mind of the human and doesn't exist outside of it.

As friend stephenw has stated there is nothing outside the human mind and *BELIEF* is again a mind perception and only when the mind stills does Truth exists or else it is the MIND.

God is who or whatever you want it to be.

That is not an absolute maxim.

It does not apply in other circunstances.

It cannot be said that:
Your mother is who or whatever you want it to be.

Similarly.
God is who or whatever is revealed He is as per a bonefide succession of revealed scripture ---this maxim holds for all knowledge-based intelligence & know-how.

That is why God's person is known as "The Abolute-Truth".

Absolute Truth must be gained by all souls adrift in the material world.

The Absolute Truth is a singular enitity which is the well-spring reservior of all expasions of the cosmos especially "personality traits".

God's person is the Absolute singular well-spring reservior of all "personality traits".

We are spirit souls in the material world of passing Time seeking out the supreme Absolute truth
in the form of the Transcendant Personality originale.

Exodus 3:13-14 (New International Version, ©2010)

"Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

That was the reply given to Moses when he asked the OP question in the presence of God. So basically, God reveals His identity as The One Who Is.

God is everything.
Your coffee, the cup, the table it sits on, your elbows leaning against that table and you.

Wow that's awesome, I didn't know that.
He said "You are me are them are it is that"
He said that everything in the universe is still one thing...

Here the knower [IAMDONE] is there to know [the words]
Now when the same words are realized then the knower and the known would be in ONENESS, is what the words are all about.
