I'm in need of a hug, I think. BP oil spill. No more classical music in St. Louis. No equality for GLBTQs (and still demonized by lots of powerful people). And sometimes this area that I call my home is in the middle of what seems to be Redneck Country. :(

*pulls out bag of chocolate, nibbles on some, and weeps for humanity*

:hug: There is hope. I remind myself there was a time when people in this country owned other human beings, when women voting was unthinkable...we've progessed. We will continue to do so. (It's just not happening as quickly as we'd like.)
