There is no such place as hell. However, there are places of suffering where you may end up temporarily in after death if you are not a nice person.

As noted earlier, we create 'heaven' or 'hell' by our condition of consciousness and our way of 'being' in this or in any world, as only 'now' exists to us, and any factor of cause/effect will flow naturally as the 'karma' inherent within our thoughts and actions produces effects;.......you co-create your own reality more or less, so you have some responsibility for your estate and destiny.

Poll report -

So far about 79% deem 'hell' a 'fiction', and 18% assume non-members of their religion are going to 'hell', which is really presumptuous. At least the former group has some intelligence to them which questions the concept of 'hell' as propagated by some religious folks, and has no proof as far as being a 'place' or a future state of punishement. You reap what you sow as you sow,...the harvest may come sooner or later, but its sure to effect a compensation of some kind. - a personal 'God' is unnecessary for the effects of karma to occur, although a personal 'God' could be the guiding creative Intelligence behind Nature and all her laws/principles.

I know it is a common belief that 'hell' and 'heaven' are states of mind which we create ourselves. This is indeed true, we can create our own hell by isolating ourselves - if we have no compassion for others, we are in effect on our own estranged from everyone including God.

But there is another dimension to the suffering we may face after death. After death, all dead people are separated according to their spiritual 'level' so to speak. We all end up together with other people at our own level. At the lowest level are the worst people, A person like Saddam Hussein will be in a place where everyone is like him - the worst possible place you can imagine and then you can imagine how they will interact with each other.
