Who's Jesus?

That would be akin to saying that a man purposely provoked the actions in the people that responded to a Message given. What possible earthly gain would that invoke? One could just as easily say that about Jesus the Christ. We must Judge fairly here, to make a conclusion, we actually have to read the story of the Bab from a reliable source. I say that, as one would not choose to read of Christ from a Jewish point of view.

Personally I see it is Christ that is behind all the Great 'men' who have told us about God. When I say 'men' I also am not saying it as a male gender, I say it knowing this is the Holy Spirit behind them, which knows no gender.

I see this passage supports that thought;

John 10:16 "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."

Personally I see the Christ Spirit in all People that have claimed a Message from our One God and produced the Life and Fruits to match the Message given.

Peace to you and all.
Well, I have not read Bab, so I can't judge it, but all I am saying is, if it is a copy then... what I said previously.
I'm not here to judge. There is only one.

This is the key to Faith, I agree there is One God, that is the Judge of us all no matter the flock we chose to be part of.

If you are saying a 2000 year old body named Jesus will judge us, then I can not agree. The only time we may see Jesus again is in His Spiritual form, is when we close our eyes to this world.

Peace be to you and all.

Like you, I don't believe Jesus will judge us in a physical form. The Bible says he is an immortal king, priest, and judge, and there are others in that role with him.
Revelation 14:1-5; 5:9, 10

I agree that some will indeed wake up, and see him. The vast majority will wake up to blessings from him - Revelation 21

Thank you for the chat. I was going to leave it there, but then I thought of these passages and I ask you how much have you thought about them.

It starts off early in Revelation;

Revelation 2:17 "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it."

The mention of a New Name, only to the one who receives it?

Then we move on in Revelation;

Revelation 3:12 "The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name."

A new Jerusalem and again the New Name. My understanding is that Jerusalem means 'City of Peace'. Thus a New City of Peace, a New Name of Christ?

To me there are many passages that hint that it will not be Christians that are the first to see and accept the return of Jesus the Christ. This being one of those; Matthew 20:16, "So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen."

Peace be with you always.

I appreciate you asking, but I am sure your views are quite different to mine, and to discuss them here I don't think would be ideal, and could take us down a long journey, so I'll message you with my contact address.
If that's okay with you, we can discuss it by mail.

Thank you for the offer, I will supply my contact in return. In the end and with faith in God, it is not about views, but in living the Faith. It is better to show how our Faith by doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. A Golden Rule found in all of Gods Messages.

Peace be always with you and all.

Simple question, simple answers?

Who's Jesus?
Jesus is God, He told us He created everything that exists. He came into the world 2000 years ago to pay the penalty for the sin of all those who believe in Him so they wouldn't need to be cast into hell to suffer eternal torment as the non believers must.

He is coming back to judge the whole world, He could come back at any moment. When He returns He will cast all of those who don't believe in Him, into hell where they will live in the flames forever.

So Jesus is God and anyone who doesn't believe in Him will be tormented in hell forever.

I see such hell based Love is not of Christ, it may be of mans own imagining.

God is forgiving Love.

Peace and Love to all.

Rev.19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.

12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.

13He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Verse 12 says he has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
then verse 13 says his name is called the Word of God. Why the contradiction?

Welcome to RF.

Good to be here for a chat. Thanks for the follow up.

I see no contradiction. I see no one knew Jesus was the Christ until the day with John the Baptist in the river. Jesus would have been aware of what God had called Him to do. John saw God in Christ.

Then when Christ was made manifest, the Name is also made manifest. The Holy Spirit has made all things new.

The verses that no one knows the New Name, but to those that receive it, is now the test of all men, the requirement to be born again has been manifested.

Peace to you and all.

It is the principle of God made Man. To demonstrate how God acts as Man. As opposed to say, God as a supernova, or as a seed or as a fish? The bridge between God and Man? Imo

But 'The Christ' isn't a name. It's a description?

All names are a description :).

For instanceI I note that Baha'u'llah was posted above. I am aware Baha'u'llah means "Glory of God". Christ Means "Annointed One". Thus I can see Christ was anointed by God and it may be that Baha'u'llah shows us the Glory of God.

In my search I am also aware all the other claimed Prophets have a meaning in the Name.

Personally I look for God in all things and as such names can become a barrier. I also see all Names in Christ.

Peace be upon you.

I'm sorry. It's Jesus The Christ. 'The Christ' is not Jesus' surname. You've got it wrong.

Please do not be sorry, as you are free to think of it as you like, there is no compulsion in religion is was what Muhammad offered.

Yes it is Jesus 'The Christ', translated as Jesus "The Anointed One" One thus concludes, anointed with the Holy Spirit.

When I pray to God, it is Faith in that Jesus was the Christ, anointed of the Holy Spirit, that I can do so.

Peace be upon you.

Sure. You see, to me and most other Christians (I'm Catholic) Christ completed the circle of all previous partial truths. The veil of the temple was torn. Before Jesus religion had become ritual. The question was: how does God relate to Man? How can Man have a personal relationship with God?

Christ came to show.

No.

Comparing Jesus to other people is nonsense.
Jesus isn't like other people, that is why you will never understand Jesus, until you realize that.

It is great you have Faith as a Catholic. I see the Christ, the Holy Spirit does indeed show the way. I see the Holy Spirit is not confined to one flesh body dated 2000 years ago. How else can Jesus be the First and the Last, the alpha and omega when the flesh amounts to nothing.

Peace be upon you and all.

I am happy for you to see it as you wish.

No one is in any position to judge anothers connection with Jesus the Christ, as I will not judge and tell others how to think.

I offer naught but peace to you and all.
