Why am I always getting Insulted on the internet for being Italian ?

I don't get it it's like there's some massive group of people always ready to insult me for being Italian on the internet saying that Italians aren't white I mean why are they obsessed with being white and gatekeeping who is and isn't White ? There's probably something to do with psychology here but I ain't getting it.

Ask yourself why do you care? There's nothing wrong with pigmented complexion -- we all are to some degree, or shade if you prefer. Think of all the pales who suffer the tanning beds and cosmetics trying to darken.

Try to overlook it. Unless they definitely are malicious, you should ignore it. If there is no real need to defend yourself then you will get benefits from ignoring it. Obviously there are exceptions.

I am not saying that I am any good at overlooking insults. No, I am derailed by insults, even if I conceal my hurt. You can see it on my face usually though I try to hide it. I cannot claim to be so cool, but you should try. Try to even forget that you are offended by it. If you can actually not be offended then this is a badge of honor for you.

I am white on my color chart. I use me for white balancing my cameras. There is this new paint that reflects so much light it actually keeps surfaces cool, and they found it by studying my skin. The question is how I don't get snow blindness from my own eyelids.

My mother was Italian, father was German...In the Summer when I was a teenager, I can't post what my friends named me. I was really dark. The girls really liked what I looked like then......Too bad, as I aged I didn't tan as well.....Of course, I have been mistaken for many different nationalities. Over the years, I've been mistaken for a Puerto Rican, Jamaican, and even American Indian.

As I got older and whiter, I kept finding more and more money under my pillow. Now, I'm a rich pale white fart that nobody likes.

Probably because you make a point of telling people on the internet that you're Italian?

With the exception of the people here that have seen me, I doubt people would know my ethnicity, because I don't talk about it unless I'm asked. It means so little to me that someone gave me an Ancestry kit as a gift, and it sat on a shelf in the closet until I gave it to someone who wanted to use it.

We are all people regardless of skin color or heritage.

You should try being British, or just English.

Just stop telling people you are Italian, if you actually are. If you are not Italian but living in the US or Canada or somewhere and merely have Italian heritage, please do Italians a favour and stop co-opting their culture and saying you are Italian. This could be why some people are having a problem.

The beauty of the internet is that we get to decide which communities or platforms we want to give our time and attention.

Since anyone who would insult another based on ethnicity or skin color is lending undue importance to race and is being a bigot, I think you would be better served by spending your online time away from them. It seems that you're already doing that at least partially, given that you're on RF. It's good that you're distancing yourself from the toxicity.
