Why are most terrorists Sunni Muslims?

*cough* Rohingya conflict - Wikipedia *cough* Date 1947 – present *cough*

Oh and the Buddhists didn't start it.

I love how nobody factors this in when taking into account the fact the boot is now on the other foot compared to when the conflict started. You can bet a large quantity of precious metals on the fact that if Israel's fortunes are reversed and it starts losing badly, none of its detractors will care about the fact its neighbours have been constantly trying to destroy it for decades and were the ones who started the wars in the first place.

1 criticising Israel =/= "antisemitic "

Very true, but kicking Jews out of your country because of the actions of Israel is anti-semitic. And this is exactly what some Muslims nations have done - hence the very low proportion of Jews left in the Middle East outside of Israel.

The number of acts of terrorism committed by extremist Muslims is only a tiny fraction of the violence committed in the world. That is why Islamophobia, the fear of Islam and Muslims, is irrational. It is not based on reality.

I disagree. I base my fear of Islam on the fact that in the majority of Islamic countries, polytheists cannot worship freely or safely. In fact it's reasonable to say that in quite a few cases non-Muslims of pretty much any kind cannot worship freely. Even in countries where Muslims are a majority polytheists cannot worship safely. I base my fear of Islam on the insidious spread of Islamism; and with it a far-reaching campaign by Islamists to silence criticism of Islam & impose religious diktats (e.g. 'do not draw Muhammad') on the rest of us. The OIC's campaign at the UN to outlaw even reasonable criticism of Islam is an example of this; Egypt's mulling over criminalising atheism is another; as is attempts by Islamophiles to cast any criticism of Islam as 'Islamophobia', deceitfully conflating bigotry against Muslims with reasonable concerns about parts of Islamic doctrine itself. Additionally, the fact that Islamists love to pretend that Muslims are nothing but victims in today's world creates the false narrative that having concerns with Islam is 'punching down' against the second largest religion in the world.

I do not fear Muslims because by-and-large they're just people trying to get by and live in peace like the rest of us. I fear Islam though, because of it's obsession with monotheism at all costs, it's striking tribalism, the vindictiveness with which it 'others' non-Muslims, the hostility with which it treats change or improvement and the fact it makes grandiose, fact-allergic claims about humanity.

And they were taking arms against the British colonial mandate. I know that's going to be tough for you; which side do you sympathise with more? If you pick the British you'll be sympathising with Western colonials but if you pick the Jewish terrorists you'll be sympathising with Zionism. Such a hard choice.

Also, the latest terrorists in modern day Israel are Muslim.

Did they do that? I thought it happened to Hindus only in the Indian sub-continent (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir).

That was quoted from an article that I linked to entitled -

“Why Did British Police Ignore Pakistani Gangs Abusing 1,400 Rotherham Children? Political Correctness”

Did you read the article and watch the videos?

You mean the Daily Mail article? Daily Mail has a reputation for poor fact checking, sensationalism and flat-out fabrication.

"The Wikimedia Foundation, which runs Wikipedia but does not control its editing processes, said in a statement that volunteer editors on English Wikipedia had discussed the reliability of the Mail since at least early 2015.
It said: “Based on the requests for comments section [on the reliable sources noticeboard], volunteer editors on English Wikipedia have come to a consensus that the Daily Mail is ‘generally unreliable and its use as a reference is to be generally prohibited, especially when other more reliable sources exist’.
“This means that the Daily Mail will generally not be referenced as a ‘reliable source’ on English Wikipedia, and volunteer editors are encouraged to change existing citations to the Daily Mail to another source deemed reliable by the community. This is consistent with how Wikipedia editors evaluate and use media outlets in general – with common sense and caution.”

Wikipedia bans Daily Mail as 'unreliable' source

At times when I see movies, or read books, where the good ones do not kill the wicked ones. I shake my head. If you read the Bible, you will see that the wicked have to die. But, we must be assured that this is not some innocent ones accused wrongly.

Soon, we are assured that God shall kill about 90% of the global population. Judgment executed is not evil. It gives us peace from the evil ones. If you think this wrong, what about the wars we have all the time. A lot of killing goes on by those who claim to be good guys and bad guys. Are you against going to war for your country?!

The wars we have all the time has little to do with good vs evil..it's about dividing people, ego, power, greed and opression. So yes I'm against going to war for 'my country'.

Nice to know. I am not disagreeing with this sentiment. However, many who share this viewpoint are still forced into wars. Many are not given a choice. If you live in a country where you have this choice, you are lucky.

I still hold to my viewpoint that evil ones must be punished according to their evil. This is God's will. God even speaks of how the blood of the innocent victims cry out to him for vengeance, if memory serves.

Even legally, if I accompany someone in a crime, robbery, though I am just a passenger in a get-away car where people have been killed in a crime by one of the others in the car, I still get charged, if I remember correctly. Similarly, we must keep ourselves unsoiled from others' evil and wickedness - or God's wrath shall come upon us.

Anyway, I think enough has been said.

This is my reponse to everyone that quoted me, this will be my last post in this thread.

I'm Muslim and I don't think all Muslims are peaceful, there are those that have an extreme and violent ideology, it has little to do with religion and more with power, greed and control. As Muslims we are also victims, Muslim extremists have killed more Muslims than non-Muslims.
There are those( on both sides) that would love to divide and create a us vs them. A seemingly ever-increasing part of the population has convinced themselves that "terrorist" is synonymous with "Muslim." And Anti-Muslim is synonymous with " non-Muslim".
But there are official reports proving that those extremist Muslims and anti-Muslims are the minority( thank God).

There are violent Christians,Jews,Budhists,Hindus,Sikhs and Atheists( Google it). I personally believe acts don't represent their beliefs/set of ideas. If I want to know what they stand for I'll ask a Jew,Christian,Atheist and not an anti-Jew,anti christian or anti-Atheist. So my sincere advice is learn Islam from Muslims, not from anti-Muslim bigots. We should not project the actions of an individual or minority onto an entire group. Whether it's profiling on the basis of race, gender, religion, or anything else, it's not only wrong but it makes ALL of us less safe. As a hijabi Muslim woman I have faced insults, intimidation by mostly non-Muslim men and I'm not an exception. This doesn't mean I believe all non-Muslim men are violent bigots.I prefer to not project the action of a few idiots( excuse my language) onto an entire group( non muslim men).

I sincerely hope you all can be open minded, talk to a Muslim off-line.. have some nice shawarma, read the facts and put things in perspective.

Peace

This woman said there was a need to 'acknowledge' that in all of the towns with similar cases 'the majority of the perpetrators have been British Pakistani' - MP on Pakistani rape gangs: People are more afraid to be called a racist then they are to be wrong about child abuse

She also said – “For too long we have ignored the race of these abusers and, worse, tried to cover it up.

No more. These people are predators and the common denominator is their ethnic heritage.

We have to have grown-up conversations, however unpalatable, or in six months’ time we will be having this same scenario all over again.

The irony of all of this is that, by not dealing with the ethnicity of the abusers as a fact, political correctness has actually made the situation about race.

The perpetrators are criminals and we need to deal with them as such, not shy away from doing the right thing by fearing being called a racist.

I’m writing this as I don’t know what else to do to try and protect our children from grooming and sexual abuse by gangs.” - SARAH CHAMPION: Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men exploiting white girls

The shadow minister for women and equalities also urged the Government to commission research into the crimes and said she “hadn’t slept” over criticism she could face over her comments.

The convicted men in Newcastle were mostly British-born, from Iraqi, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, Iranian and Turkish communities. Because she said this it has been twisted into a narrative that demonises every Pakistani man as a rapist. Who has labelled a whole community?

It seems that you cannot criticise part of a community without criticising the whole community these days.

Labour MP branded 'irresponsible' over claim most men grooming children are Pakistani

Sajid Javid is the voice of reason here -

Sajid Javid says Jeremy Corbyn 'wrong to sack Sarah Champion'

Why are these cases swept under the carpet?

Pointing out that it is possible to to be anti-semitic when reacting to Israel despite the fact the term is being somewhat abused, and that Muslims have a recorded history of being anti-Semitic. Just like us Europeans.

Yup. Jews had been leaving Muslim countries for a while before Israel's founding for various reasons (ranging from behaviour by colonial European powers to Zionist advocates encouraging migration) but once Israel sprang into existence the scenario of Jews leaving, being kicked out or pressured to leave increased to the point where countries like Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan & Afghanistan have almost no Jews left at all. The Muslim country with the largest population of Jews (according to this table) is Turkey; but now their government is becoming Islamic and is resultingly taking a turn for the worst it won't be at all surprising if Jews in Turkey decide to up sticks too.
