Why are people scared of ghosts?

I'm not scared of them

There's nothing scary about them

I don't get why they are supposed to be so very scary

A little unnerving, perhaps

But it's not as if they kill or torture people or anything

I can't remember if I've asked you this question before, so I'll ask it now. Have you ever seen a ghost?

I'm so into the paranormal that I welcome the idea.

But I can certainly understand the natural fear of something unknown and usually invisible being around especially when some ghosts can be spirits in a dark place. Some can be malevolent.

I hope that you have a positive encounter with one someday and that it helps validate your belief in the paranormal.

Because not all ghosts are Casper. Ghosts in traditional cultures can be just as harmful and malicious as living people, such as hungry ghosts in East Asian culture.

I find great safety in being alone or among known and trusted friends and family.
If there were a ghost in my house, it would jeopardize my feelings of privacy and security.
