Because I have spoken to him in prayer, and I have 'felt' him answer me; because I look around me at life, at everything I see tells me that God is here. Because God is in my heart................what else can I say ? ;)
Ditto.

Is it true that people who don't believe in God just don't see or experience these things?

Is belief based on experience?... hrrrmmm new thread.

Well, look around these forums, then. I dance with joy at the thought that so many wonderful people are together in one place, and that I have the opportunity to learn from each of them. My heart is full of love for the various ways that we percieve the world around us, and I am thankful for the friendships I've made. I would hate to annoy my atheist friends by suggesting that this came about by the work of any diety... but, well, I'm gonna risk it!

Back on topic, though, I think it's other people's business if they believe in a diety (or several) or not. I see no reason to ask them to join my path if their path is working for them.

sorry soyleche but I'm not to keen on statistics. My forte is more biology/paleontology.
the issue is what constitutes 'good evidence'. One can not simply go by the personal 'metaphysical' experiences of another, especally if there is no evidence of the metaphysical to begin with.

and yes Feathers is a terribly scarry person. :p

Notice that I didn't say that Atheists try and disprove that God exists. That is their null hypothesis, just like it is for mermaids and leprechauns. ... The theist, on the other hand, will do the opposite, and require proof that God doesn't exist, in order to get them to reject thier null, that God does exist. That was the point I was trying to get at, and I probably did a bad job of it.
You do a bad job of it because you repeatedly misrepresent the null hypothesis, which is the one that renders your hypothesis (or mine) superfluous. You simply do not understand what you seek to teach.
