I’m not sure which kind of discussion I primarily participate in. All I can say is that I normally discuss religious topics and participate in the jokes/games forum. Which one primarily is currently unknown.
My interests remain the same.
As are a lot of people where I live.

At first I came to learn other perspectives.

Other - given I'm not that interested in politics so as to debate any particular position - apart from perhaps defending some aspects of what I tend to believe - and the same goes for religions - given that too is not a priority as to interests, apart from the effects of such which few can miss. So more about all the rest that RF offers (which I like) and that enticed me. So more about learning as to why some people are glued to their religious beliefs, and sometimes poking a finger in the cage when appropriate, or anything else that doesn't include religion or politics.

When I first signed up, it was mainly for religious discussion. However, for many years while posting here, I was also spending a good deal of my online time posting on the forums at the Internet Movie Database, which were shut down in early 2017. But the board software was a bit outdated, and it was very poorly moderated. As a result, their political forums turned out to be a real troll fest. I mean, it was really something to behold (and some people think RF's political threads are rough). I hung out mainly on the Star Trek boards, which were actually kind of fun.
When the IMDb message boards shut down, my posting at RF increased quite a bit.
