Most people feel the need to be right more so when it comes to thier faith.

So what makes you so right? Christians fight among Christians over the bible. The Jews fight over translations. Church denomations aruge over who is right From time to time even Pagan's might disagree about somethings.

WHAT SAY YOU? :D

Because on this subject my wife allows me to be right, and I collect a pay check for telling others about the subject which is why she allows me to be right... and Buddhists don't fight in general we all agree even though our practices may be different for that matter we don't disagree with anyone what ever floats your boat, if it works for you go for it as long as it is beneficial to all and non-harmful to any.

It's important to me to be right because I believe that my choices I made today and the knowledge I gain in this life will have eternal significance. It's not important to me to convince anybody else that I'm right because I may not be. In the end, each person has got to go with what works for him. My faith works for me. The God in whom I believe appears to be listening to me when I pray and the teachings of my religion give me the strength I need to face whatever comes my way. If my faith and my God don't cut it for somebody else, that's of absolutely no consequence to me. I wish everybody well on their spiritual journey and have no grandios goals of getting anybody to see things my way.

I feel that I have made the right choice and I am secure in my faith and I don't have to prove anything to anyone ,but only be true to the covenant I have made with God. :)

I say I have made the right choices *for me*. I don't claim to be holding answers for anyone else, although I am happy to share what works for me if someone is interested.

I am "right" because my beliefs seem to accurately account for my reality. People who have a completely different belief system are also "right" in this way. If some new experience doesn't fit with my beliefs, I will find a way to either rationalize it into them, or else it will be a catalyst to change.

I'm not convinced we have direct control over our beliefs, but we define "right" by how well our world view fits together internally, IMO. If there's some absolute, true reality, I am most assuredly wrong about it in many ways, but because of the way human brains process information, it's the best I can do.

I don't think I am right about everything in my religion (due to the fact that I am still learning). But, if what I believe in is wrong, I don't wanna be right :).

I don't believe in "right." I believe in "Tao," or, "way." The Tao Te Ching speaks of "the way," and doesn't call it "right." It doesn't claim to be the only "way," though from what I remember it doesn't mention other "ways," either.

I believe that the "way" is a single road, which is life itself, with many branching paths which all lead to the same thing. What is this thing? How should I know? :D
