Actually, I once believed that all religions (i came to know as a kid) teach humanity only the good things, imparts high moral to its followers - well it was something perfect in my mind. Later, I came to know of other religions (most of them of the past or practiced in some remote areas of the world) that has done (is doing) unethical practices like sacrifices etc – just couldn’t understand why they were performing such acts then. Still later, I came to know that all religions “including the ones I considered ideal” was all corrupt, filled with many unethical (or even notorious) priest and imams , and that these religions all had blood on their hands – it was/is kind of Dracula feeding on innocent victims. It was quite shocking for me to realize that there are sentences in the bible that support slavery.

Actually, no religious texts are exempted from any of these - contradictions, scientific errors, and supporting amoral acts. It seems you have seen only the "good things" in the bible. I appreciate that.

If somebody says they're fighting for God, believe them or don't. Don't apply different standards to the leaders of the LRA, and the leaders of IS or al-Shabaab.
