Why do you think people wouldn't accept that someone can be happy to be straight?
In your experience is this a pervasive attitude amongst those of other orientation?
I have experienced this attitude regarding race.
I remember once this (black) girl at school just couldn't/wouldn't believe
that I was perfectly happy as I was,
and that I didn't secretly wish I was black.
Our mutual friend (also black) would try to convince her that YES
I was actually truly happy being myself, just as I was.
(I was a Jazz Music major.
I'm sure this added to her skepticism.
)
LOL! It just makes me laugh.
People often project their own issues/insecurities onto others.
What what of it?
Ya know? What does it really matter.
