god created your hormones, he created your genes, he created you according to your beliefs.

but you say your hormones made you gay, god did not.

by desighn we are desighned as men and woman, to breed, according to you your hormones were responsible for you being gay, a fault by desighn.

so are you saying god made an error when he created your hormones, christians claim he does not make mistakes but your hormones created by god have turned you gay, surley god is responsible for the faulty hormones.

The Christian God allows often dreadful things to happen to people. It doesn't mean he's pleased by it. The Christian perspective is that this is a broken world which is awaiting a day when it'll be fixed.

Romans 8:
18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.19For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.20For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope21that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.22For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now

I just don't understand the logic rarionalizes that if "someone feels something then it must be o.k.". If I acted on every impulse I ever felt I might be doing 50 years in a penitentiary.

Neither do most people. That's why we don't use such rationalization.

I think I've summed up the "it's natural" argument without the "bells and whistles" like for instance, the studies on the sexual behavior of other primates and the convoluted logic that accompanies it.

Except that's not the only reason why homosexuality is okay.

It literally harms nobody. With no victim, there's no crime. Love between consenting adults is harmless to everybody, and so there's no reason to forbid it.

But it is okay when it's perfectly healthy and harmless. In the modern world we use logic, evidence, reason, and compassion to determine truth and ethics, not the ancient superstitions of ignorant savages. If you wish to wallow in their dust and bones, so be it, but don't try to drag the rest of the world down with you.

Well said. It's tiring to hear appeals to a book that believers think is binding on evryone. I could just as easily cite the Bhagavad Gita as true scripture and insist others live by it. I do not believe in the Judeo-Christian Bible, nor the Qur'an as being binding on me. It's tiring to have their precepts of thou shalts and thou shalt nots shoved in my face and told I am a sinner. I know what constitutes sin, and it isn't the silliness of God caring about whom I sleep with.

Ok, but if we have free will, don't you think every cell of our body has its own free will as well.

I Agree. If you can't help it. Then it should not be considered bad.

There are psychopaths who can't help murdering and raping, so I'd rather talk about homosexuality like this: Since it doesn't hurt anyone, then it should not be considered bad.

2,000-3,000 years ago, people were more primitive than now. They hated anything which was strange, anything which did not conform to the general culture. Homosexuality was one of those things. Unfortunately, lots of scripture was written back during those primitive times, so anti-homosexuality was codified.

But there's nothing at all wrong with it. God approves, according to my more-modern scripture.

its not bad or hurting anybody, but it is most certainly a fault.

what is the purpose of being made male or female, should the natural desire to take someone of the opposite sex break down, and you find you want someone of the same sex, that is either a psychological or physical fault within your make up.

i'm not saying fight it or dont do it, but how about we be honest, its not normal, forget religion for a moment, it goes against the very laws of nature, unless there is a fault,

same as retarded people are born with obvious faults that are clearly not normal, they cannot help it but lets call it what it is.

you were born that way so go for it, its not hurting anyone, but it is and should be said we are not desighned for this so.

I can't keep up with all the stuff here but I got to say I have often questioned given the amount of religious/cultural perspectives on same sex love especially by 2 men, why it's feared or shunned more. I'm not sure. Perhaps the labels give them definitions rather than so much the actions themselves. It seems that being "feminine" gives people the icks moreso than what many view as masculine. It's a topic I rarely see talked about but an interesting one to say the least.

The only "convulted logic" accompanying it is this one:

If you feel like doing it, and you are not hurting anyone else, it´s ok.

So as long as it is consensual homosexual sex, then you would need a reason to condemn it.

we dont know. Let´s not pretend we do. But if there were purposes, maybe the pyurpose for john/jane to have been made a wo/man is completely different than that of Sam/antha

i'm not saying fight it or dont do it, but how about we be honest, its not normal, forget religion for a moment, it goes against the very laws of nature, unless there is a fault,

but how are we defining norma? are we defining "normal" as "frequent"? cause if we are, chatting in an internet forum is completely "abnormal" for a specis in this planet. Hummm it must be some fault of ours.

i'm not saying fight it or dont do it, but how about we be honest, its not normal, forget religion for a moment, it goes against the very laws of nature, unless there is a fault,

And about the "laws of nature", are yo aware of how many animals have homosexuals in their lines? where are this laws? why call them laws? why not patterns? and if we call them paterns, then it is easier to see that while there might be anomalies in the patterns, this can be either what we call "good" (example: excemptionaly good at anything (better than the norm, so not normal) or "bad".

Maybe Bob thinks it is bad that he is an homosexual, and Bob may very well think that. But I am sure there are Annes, and Shirlleys and Bills that are happy to be homosexuals, even if they suffered for it.

I love a lot of things about me for which I have had to suffer, and I wouldn´t change them. There are others things I do would like to and do try.
