Why Christians Shouldn't Celebrate Halloween!!!

It's probably best to just let it go...

I guess they want the word "pagan" to rhyme with "profanity."

He asked and I answered. Well, he questioned it to be exact. However, I may have used the word incorrectly. English is not my native language.

That pretty much sums it up.

Pardon, I meant no offense - I was being a bit facetious. The word "pagan" (especially in lower case like that) basically amounts to profanity, unfortunately, for more than a few in my culture. The unfortunate use of this term as a pejorative endures much to the disdain of contemporary Pagans such as myself. Silly narratives about Halloween sometimes fit into that "pagans are people to hate and snarl at" agenda. I couldn't bring myself to watch the videos.

I did not get offended. Quite opposite, i thought it was humorous. I had no intention to mock someone's belief. Maybe the way i wrote it sounded ill-mannered by not being clear enough. But i did adress that it should not be a hindrance for anyone to actually celebrate Halloween.

I did not watch the video either. I know i will get bored

Setting aside a day to celebrate evil, darkness, witchcraft, fear, death and the demonic brings disdain to God. Period. A Christian celebrating Halloween would be like a Satan worshiper putting up a nativity scene at Christmas while singing, "Happy Birthday, Jesus!" The two just don't go together. Jesus has nothing in common with Satan (2 Cor. 6:14), and neither should we.

So stop justifying why it is fine to celebrate this demonic, worldly, evil holiday. There are no muddled lines or gray areas about it. A committed follower of Jesus Christ should not celebrate Halloween.

How about no chrismas, or easter, or basically any holiday...they all have pagan backgrounds. Who cares if they're pagan? Perhaps if the church didn't kill those who didn't convert then folding to their ways to make it easier?
