Why do bad things happen when God exists?

If there is God and He is good, then why does “bad” exist? What is the reason for God to create all that is bad? Why couldn’t God create a world that has only bliss and happiness? Why has God made suffering? Why has God made problems? Why has God made poverty? Why do we suffer? Why do we fall sick? Why has God made death? If God is such a good God and if He is the creator of the universe, then why has He created this whole concept of suffering? Why has He let people become terrorists? Why has He let people create pain? And this is not just about people. Look at the animal world. Why has He created it in such a way that the tiger kills the deer, the cat eats the mouse, and the dog chases the cat? Why has God made the world like this?

We can go on asking questions as to why God has created the world like this, but the question that we need to ask ourselves is that should we question this way? Should we question His authority – Why He has done this? What He has done? Do we know better about what He has done, or does the Creator know better about what He has done? So from our limited intelligence and viewpoints, is it right to comment on or question and be judgmental about what God has created and why God has created so?

Why are we questioning what God has done? Why do we doubt God’s intentions? Why do we question God’s plan for our life? Why do we question what God has created on Earth? Should we not spend time pondering upon these rather than questioning what God has done? This is the question I ask myself today.

That's the problem when you have a dualistic God. With a God that transcends all duality and Who is the substrate of all existence, it's all the same and we're just manifestations of God here to learn from it and experience. God is **** but is also a diamond at the same time. My spiritual views don't have a "problem of evil", since there is ultimately no such thing as good or evil. Those are social constructs and the universe at large pays no mind to what we think is good or evil; even the planet doesn't and she will cast us aside as she sees fit just like with the dinosaurs (although some of them still exist in the form of birds). All there is the manifestation of existence taking different forms. We find some to be subjectively more pleasant or unpleasant, but it's all ultimately just a transient experience. Imo, any deity worth your time is beyond good and evil.

As for your questions, I reached my conclusion stated above through questioning. I've been many things, from a devout Catholic to an Anti-Cosmic Satanist. Now I just assimilate it all, not making any differentiation. The infinite deserves nothing less, imo.

That is the question that you pose, perhaps the answer is staring us in the face.

Bad things happen because God does NOT exist.

The answer is very simple: Because people are bad. God made free-will & it's up to us to decide how we will use it. And on some things like illness, tragedies, etc. happen because they are possible in material world, it does now seem as a gigantic problem on Earth but when looking that souls are for eternity this won't be much of a problem, right?

The simple answer is God values individual choice. God wants you the choose good but doesn't require it. If God exists this world is temporary and what happens here is meaningless except what qualifies you to move on.

Very simple question, answered in the first few chapters of Genesis.

God gave Man one commandment.

God gave Man free will.

Man chose to ignore God and do things his way.

Sin enters the world and, with it death and the knowledge of good and evil.

The world is cursed because of sin.

Hare Krishna,Hare Krishna,
In my opinion, every human emotion... Wrath, envy, hate, love, lust, compassion, etc exists within living beings in different species and worlds simply because the universal consciousness has these emotions as well.

Based on the three modes of material nature, these aspects of people comes to life.

The more of Ignorance, prevalent in those who live within the body alone. They do not realize their true self which is the universal energy within them in form of a soul.
They are mainly living beings of the most lowest existences that can never understand the true nature of reality and is covered with excessive arrogance and wrath. They feel not the pain of others as they themselves are the only beings of getting respect.

The mode of Passion, prevalent in humans is when there is ego and desire but also have the capacity of enlightenment or awakening.

The mode of Goodness is the purer of the three that has living beings that know the reality of everything and thus freed from all illusions of the material body they develop compassion, love and righteousness.

These three modes are maintained by the cosmic consciousness and the ever changing energy.
The universe exists because of the balance between God and Evil, Right and Wrong, Matter and Anti matter, masculinity and femininity, etc.

No matter how unfair it sounds, it seems to be the reason of existence.
Yin and yang... Two polar opposites complementing each other making life possible.

Peace be on you. The answer has many aspects. Some are:

1= Suffering as an independent entity, it is necessary counterpart of pleasure and comfort.

2=Move away from death, means moving towards a state of life which is happiness. As we move away from life, we move away with a sense of loss and sorrow towards death.

3=Without the taste of suffering, the feeling of comfort would also vanish.

4=The evolution of our five senses, the awareness of loss and gain has played an equally essential role like the two wheels of a wagon; remove one, and the other would also lose its meaning.

5=Suffering is also associated with the idea of retribution and punishment.

6=Sometimes suffering is due to people's own errors.

7=There is always a small percentage of individuals who will seem to suffer as though without justification. However, a closer more careful examination of such cases would reveal that there is no question of wilful injustice involved. They are merely an unavoidable by-product of the wide plan of creation, but they also play a meaningful role in the general advancement of human society.

8=Suffering has been a great teacher, scientific research has a lot due to it.

Preaches morality, loves his church, calls his church sinful, still maintains membership and, jumping with joy after a typo.
And is there anything you want to know other than how the people killed innocents are the best people in the world?

So you are sinless and so are your faithful followers? Wow, you must be a god.

When you get sinless you can jump up on your soapbox and I will hear you. Until then you are nothing more than a resounding cymbal or a raven's cry.

I m.a Hindu and a Buddhist... For us sin is like Kali for Catholics. Something that don't exist.
And a sinner can question other sins if its greater than his.

But one sin makes you a sinner. Judge not less you be judged by the same law with which you judge others. Judgement Day won't be pretty for judges.
