Why do Hindus support the pro Islamist Left?

This is a DIR, I asked a question to Hindus. Anyone who supports the Left is basically supporting a transformation of the culture into Islamism. Read about all the bills and laws being passed in the West. Anyways I don't want to say anymore considering it's a DIR.

Indeed, this is a DIR. Non-resident posters are limited to respectful questions in DIRs.

List of massacres in India - Wikipedia

This file shows the millions of Hindus who were killed simply due to being Hindu by the Mughals. Yet most Hindus in the West are Leftists or support the Left. Some even support and promote the expansion of Islamism.

Why?

Thanks for the question. I'm a 'leftist' Hindu in the west. I'm against Islamisation anywhere, especially in countries with large Hindu populations like Malaysia, or near borders like in Bengal.

The two ideas are quite separate for me. I'd be a leftist if I was an atheist. Socialism, as an economy, and the equality economically that it promotes just is more suitable to me. So I'm an economic leftist I guess.

The 'Islam' problem is much harder. Certainly I think ISIS needs to be brought down, and Pakistan is a great threat to the world around it. .

Not sure if this makes sense to you.

Yeah, like I disagree with a lot of the underlying assumptions made. I don't believe there's much of a 'left' in the West really, it's a faction among the liberals you're talking about. My sympathies are with the actual left (far left, indeed), and certainly I have no sympathy with Islamism.

It is not all Hindus, it's the so-called "Secular Hindus" who now get called "Pseudo-secular" who think that they should protect every other religion other than Hinduism and that other religions should get more rights and privileges. In fact some of them don't even think Hinduism is a religion.

I'm not against Islamic schools, or Islamic communities. I'm against the Canadian government allowing Islamic activities on public property. I'm against Western governments introducing legislature to Islamicize their constitutions.

I simply wonder how any Hindu would be okay with that given the millions killed by the Mughals and the pogroms of Pakistan?

MD, come on, you know you're way out of DIR rules, right?

Lots of Hindus support equal rights for Muslims and protection of Muslims' civil freedoms. I don't know of any Hindus who Islamisation. I also don't know of any Islamisation of Western constitutions.

So it is. My mistake; deleted.

I support Vinayaka's economic leftism. I support same rights to Indian Muslims as compared to what Indian Hindus have. I do not support any additional rights to any religion. Laws should be the same for all.

There are communists and other pseudo-socialist parties like Nehru-Gandhi Congress, who have lost their political power. In quest of power, they consider BJP which stands for equal rights for all and no more to anyone as their greatest enemy. These parties support 'shariah' rights for Muslims - polygamy, triple talaq, etc.

I don't think there are many Hindus who, understanding history and the abuses Sanatana Dharma has suffered, would support Islamisation. Sadly in the current climate any real criticism of Islam is viewed as Islamophobia.

Not a religious question at all, but a political one. Another point to ponder is that some Islamophobes are also Hinduphobes, too angry to tell the difference, so that hatred is also directed at Hindus.
