Why do most muslism insist on growing a massive beard ?

The Prophet married an older women, and deeply loved her the rest of his life. He loved her so dearly that after her death, he used to remember her often.

Thank you A-ManESL.

It just seems culturally and not excluded to Islam that is more acceptable for and older man to marry a younger woman but not the other way around. Maybe it depends on the kind of culture you're living in. Even in the west it is still a taboo issue when the roles of gender are reversed.

I don't know, I've often heard that it is usually the norm for men to either marry women their age or younger but not the other way around. Perhaps I'm wrong?

Depends on what you mean by the "norm". If it means usually men marry younger women, not always, and it's not a rule, then you're not wrong. Usually men marry either women in their age or younger, but not always, and it's not a rule.

Perhaps it is more of a cultural thing than religious one?

Yes. And the biggest evidence for that, is like A-ManESL told you, that the prophet married a woman older than him.

And it's not also a cultural pressure or something, it's just the usual. The society is full of different tastes, some men prefer older women.

Are women allowed to marry men younger than themselves in your country?

Women can marry whoever they want. Younger men, men at their age, older men, don't marry at all...

It indeed keeps most secular woman away from me without having to do anything.

As most secular woman are brain washed by the clean shaven secular men gilletgel ads believing that they are princes who are never into phsycologycal emotional betrayl of infidelity.

My wife is very happy in me having this small but tidy beard. :p. It keeps away the unwanted.

I mean I never know what they are after: money, materalisim, one night stands, lonelyness, depression? Very difficult to know their motives nowday. :D
Even more worrying is why so most muslim/asian woman are born with moustaches , i mean dammn i would def want to wear a full burqa with grid if i was like 10 and had a moustache , really worrying ?

Most muslims do not have a beard. Only the religious-minded people do.

valid question.

We follow in the traditions of all the messengers who grew or able to grow facial hair.

We also follow in the tradition of Abraham pbuh and Muhammed pbuh.

We trim the mustach and leave the beard to grow but to a limit.

I have a beard my very nicely trimed, not very long, I would say 2 to inches long, my english wife likes it.

In one of the ahadith, The beauty of a man is in his beard.

Also to distinguish ourself from the female so there is no confusion :D.

We do not despise other muslims brothers of mine. I only encourge them to follow in the traditions of Abraham pbuh.:)

I find it funny people label it a "tradition of the prophet" when having a beard was a cultural thing in Arabia. Abu Jahal and Abu Lahab also had it and so did Pharoah (fir'aun) so how does it makes it any Islamic or prophet's tradition?

sucide bombers - yours ?
Actually most suicide bombers do not have a beard.

I read a comment earlier in this thread that the beauty of a man is in his beard. This guy must be the Hugh Hefner of the beard world.

My two boys alone have the beauty of you, family, and all of the generations all the way back to burkina faso. As for my daughters dont even make me start on that.

Beauty is in both the hart and the face. The hart last the longest and eternal.

In Shia Islam we don't keep massive beard.
Indeed a Shia Muslim has to take care of his beard, and there is also a maximum allowed length :)
this is a typical Shia beard. The man is a very important Shia man. he was a sunni scholar, and after he converted to Shia'sm arround a million persons joined Shia Islam becasue of his efforts...I know some sunni brothers and sisters will think that I am exaggerating the number!
