Why do people curse whenever they experience a mishap?

I think you have heard what Jesus enemies said about him, not what he really was as a man. The Bible confirms regarding Jesus that "He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth." (1 Peter 2:22) That is why he had to be born without a human father, so no taint of sin and imperfection would mar him. I believe only a perfect and sinless human could provide the ransom for sin, and buy back what Adam lost.
As to Jesus being a drunkard and glutton, consider Jesus own words; "Likewise, John [the baptiser] came neither eating nor drinking, but people say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of man did come eating and drinking, but people say, ‘Look! A man who is a glutton and is given to drinking wine, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ All the same, wisdom is proved righteous by its works.” (Matthew 11:18,19) Jesus was repeatedly slandered by his enemies but simply pointed to his works to show these accusations were baseless.
Of course the bible would say he was perfect, but he was a man, but sadly made into an idol of worship, as they say, don't believe in all that you read.

I don't believe all I read and I don't worship Jesus. (Matthew 4:10)

Why worship him ?.

I worship Jehovah because he gave us life and sustains our lives, providing abundantly for our welfare. I believe Jehovah loves us and has provided the way for us to live forever. (John 3:16) Further, his gifts of his Word and the privilege of praying to him allow us to be his friends. To sum up, our worship, our rendering of reverent honor and obedience to Jehovah is because of who he is and what he has done, IMO. As Revelation 4:11 states: "You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and we're created."

How do we believe Jehovah is the only "one and true God"?
Is this emotional "feeling" simply a matter of faith or can it be proven somehow?
I feel the same way, just curious as to why you might feel that way.
"Feelings" are not facts.
Muslims believe Allah is the only one and true God and will not be swayed
to change their minds any more than we could.

About the cursing question: Because we LEARN to do that by hearing others
say such. Parents most likely.
Mom peeling potatoes and cuts herself says " Damn! That hurt!" and so on.
I have known people that were raised in more "polite" homes that would exclaim
"dang it!" instead of cursing especially if in mixed company.
"Gosh darn it", I almost cussed. :>)

But still, why worship him, is it because he is insecure, or are you insecure ?.

I believe worshipping our Creator and Lifegiver is both the wise and right thing to do, and I am happy to do so. I benefit greatly from following his laws and principles, and feel confident that Jehovah will grant life that will never end to those who love and obey him. (Revelation 21:4) Jehovah does not need our worship but is pleased to accept it when we render worship to him out of love and respect.

Like trying to keep on his good side all the time, it must wear you out ?.

Not at all. Who knows better than our Creator the best way for us to live? I view Jehovah as a loving Father who loves me and helps me avoid innumerable heartaches and troubles. Isaiah 48:17 quotes Jehovah as saying; "I, Jehovah, am your God,The One teaching you to benefit yourself,The One guiding you in the way you should walk." I find Jehovah's commands and advice to be the very best in every situation. Any struggle I have is with my own sinful nature, not with God.(Romans 7:18)

Why do people curse whenever they experience a mishap?

I think it started out as superstition.

When something good or bad happened, a prayer, or curse, was uttered, often with a God or Goddess name attached.

Over time a lot of the Goddess names changed from good to negative meaning.

For instance Cunti once a Goddess, ends with a dropped "I" and goes from a Goddess Yoni of the Universe - to patriarchal vulgar slang and prejudice of females and their sex organs.

SO - when a mishap is perceived to be somehow related to a female, - you might get the curse, - "Stupid cun*! Die!"

Fu*k comes from the Old German ficken/fu**en meaning 'to strike or penetrate', so it was probably "once" appropriate to yell it when accidently walking into something. And of course "penetrate" tells us how it slid into vulgar slang.
