It isn't just her business though: the responsibility lies on those who created and continue to propagate such beliefs to people. How is it ethical to convince someone that doing something incredibly uncomfortable and potentially dangerous - on a daily basis - is acceptable because the alternative is torture in the after life?
I have no idea if her niqab is uncomfortable or dangerous to wear. She said it wasn't. She also wasn't implying that she will go to hell for not wearing it, or at least that's not how I took it. What was I supposed to do? Argue with her? It's her business what she wants to wear. I don't know her.

That to me highlights my aforementioned concerns.
Though you are absolutely right in not arguing with her. Forgive me: I wasn't implying that it is you but rather those who propagate such beliefs and the authors of the scriptures who bear responsibility for polluting people's minds with such views.
