Why does Confusion and ignorance and depression exist ?

Hermit Philosopher

Selflessly here for you
But I don't like them because they make me feel terrible.
Is it your own confusion and “ignorance” that is upsetting you or is it the “confusion” and “ignorance” you feel that you encounter in others?

If it is the latter, then see it as a sign of your need for a time-out from interaction (physical, digital) with others, but also with “information” in general. Sometimes when the whole world seems “idiotic”, distance from it is helpful. We all have a need to switch off at times and find space to reflect independently on whatever it is that we’ve come across so far. Distance and perspective help us recharge so that we can approach the “world” with refreshed energy and less disillusion.

If it is the former, then see it as your emotions asking you to learn more and expand your perspectives. That one is able to detect, experience and confront one’s own “ignorance” is actually a real strength that not all have. Make good use of it when you encounter it in yourself.

Humbly,
Hermit

These the don't benefit me and probably everyone else In any way whatsoever so why do they exist ? What is God's reasoning here ?
Confusion protects the mind from shutting down. You are bombarded with new things constantly and have to adapt to survive. If the mind was rigid without confusion, you would not be able to adapt and survive. As long as confusion is a temporary state it is protecting you. If it is a permanent state you need to see a professional about it.

Ignorance is just lack of knowledge with excessive pride. Excessive pride being the problem a humble person is never ignorant.

Depression is again a protective measure against stress. Stress is probably the number one killer of humans as your stress goes up so does your depression to combat it. Depression make you retract from engaging, makes you want to do less. The issue here becomes depression causing stress making the cycle endless. In most cases it is best to get outside help if depression lasts to long

They are from Satan and only experinced by evil people, who brought them onto themselves. ;) They are not from God, since God is prefect. ;)

I won't try to explaing it using biological psychology, because that is also from Satan. ;)

Feelings aren't facts. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that just because we are feeing a certain way, it does not mean that our reality is that way. And instead of constantly focusing on how we feel, we should try and focus on what we can actually do in the moment to improve our reality. Trade our emotionality for practicality in terms of our immediate focus.

Confusion, depression and ignorance pertain to the element of Tamas , as opposed to restlessness, aggression and desires of Rajas, clarity , happiness and knowledge of Sattva.

Tamas, rajas and sattva are considered to be the three elements present in every aspect of nature, as per sankhya and yoga philosophy of hinduism.

The spiritual objective is to transcend tamas and rajas and attain to sattva which is considered to be the ideal element or state prior to enlightenment.

Maybe, I don't know any situation when person can't choose. Can you give one example where person can't choose?
Do you always feel good? Then why don't you choose to? Because it doesn't work that way.

The reason strategies to avoid negativity fail is because the internal struggle to control our thoughts and emotions actually amplifies them, leading to what psychologists call “leakage” in which the banned thought resurfaces unexpectedly — like at a key meeting with your boss or in a discussion with your spouse. You’re trying not to be angry about something, willing yourself to get over it and put on a happy face, and suddenly it’s all you can think about and you unwittingly say the very thing that you didn’t want to say — and now you’ve got a major drama on your hands. The tendency to use these types of avoidance strategies is associated with lower well-being, poorer problem solving, and less satisfying interpersonal relationships.
To be clear, I’m not “anti-happiness” and I am not suggesting that we should wallow in our darkest thoughts. But happiness is not something that comes about through focusing on it as a daily choice or goal. Study after study has shown that it is only when we stop struggling with how we think we should feel, and instead engage with, accept and embrace our true thoughts and emotions with curiosity, courage and compassion, that real joy, growth and creativity emerge. If I would not feel good, I would think why so. Then, if I can solve the issue, I would do so. If I can't, I would think is it really meaningful issue. If it is not meaningful, I don't care about it. And if it is meaningful, I think why so and usually from that I can see is it really a good reason to not feel good. Till this point I have not found reason to not feel good, although there are many things that I would hope to be differently.
...we stop struggling with how we think we should feel
I can agree that people should not think that they should not feel something. Feelings tell a message, that I think is important. The key thing in my opinion is how to handle the feelings.

Confusion, your brain can't cope with what is happening around you.
Ignorance, we can't know everything, but the more we know the less confusion we feel
Depression, because...
