Why does God hide himself?

Why do you say it's nonsense? What evidence do you have to say it isn't? What's ridiculous is atheists claim they do not have evidence of God not existing and yet that's what they believe. That's a different kind of faith if you ask me. Yet, the video states if you sincerely ask God to do so, He will. That's faith that works.

As for your nonsense statement, people have had near-death experiences and they told a lot as well as the neurologists explanations on what occurred. Once you get past the point of no return, God has stated that we will never know what happens. That was one of the things He said He would keep to himself.

I don't have to prove it isn't, you have to prove it is because you're the one making the positive claim. You, as pretty much everyone expects, have totally failed to provide a shred of objective evidence for anything you say. You're just pontificating on what you think your imaginary friend thinks and wants without any reason to take your claims seriously. Why don't you tell us what Santa Claus wants next, it means about as much,.

Satan is never shown to lie about anything in scenes where he appears. People call him a liar, but he only is more like a mirror, bringing up the darkness in your soul you try to keep secret. He is a spiritual blackmailer, to be sure, but he tells the truth. The lies are what we tell ourselves to convince us we are more moral than we are. The only way to shut up Satan is to be at peace with what we are so he has nothing to threaten us with.

I'm posting this again because I found a contradiction. Satan did lie to Eve in telling her she won't die.

There are lies, there are damned lies and then there are statistics.

"What does it mean that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44)?
Speaking to a group of Jews, Jesus says, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).

Satan is the “father of lies” in that he is the original liar. He is the “father” of lies in the same way that Martin Luther is the “father” of the Reformation and Robert Goddard is the “father” of modern rocketry. Satan told the first lie in recorded history to Eve, in the Garden of Eden. After planting seeds of doubt in Eve’s mind with a question (Genesis 3:1), he directly contradicts God’s Word by telling her, “You will not certainly die” (Genesis 3:4). With that lie, Satan led Eve to her death; Adam followed, and so have we all.

Lying is Satan’s primary weapon against God’s children. He uses the tactic of deceit to separate people from their heavenly Father. Some of his more common lies are “there is no God,” “God doesn’t care about you,” “the Bible cannot be trusted,” and “your good works will get you into heaven.” The apostle Paul tells us that Satan “masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14), so that what he says and does sounds good and seems reasonable. But it is nothing more than a false appearance.

Many of Satan’s lies tend to perpetuate themselves. This is what happened when Eve convinced Adam to also believe the devil’s lie. Today, Satan still uses people to spread his lies for him. Often, he uses charismatic but foolish people to further his falsehoods, as in the case of false religions and cults.

The Bible has many names for Satan to describe his true nature, including “ruler of this world” (John 12:31), “god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), “tempter” (1 Thessalonians 3:5), “deceiver” (Revelation 12:9), “Beelzebub” (literally, “lord of the flies,” the ruler of demons, in Matthew 10:25), and “Belial,” meaning “wicked” (2 Corinthians 6:15)."

What does it mean that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44)?

You only say that because you can't prove anything. I made the claim that if you ask God sincerely to reveal Himself, then He will. I can't help it if you do not have faith to do so, but have faith in that God doesn't exist. I don't think you even watched the video because Ben talked about proving it in the beginning ha ha. Another ignorant internet atheist bites the dust.

I have nothing to prove, any more than you'd have to prove me wrong if I claimed unicorns were real. You're just making yourself look silly.

As usual, you being an atheist and being wrong.

Your atheist scientists are claiming aliens are real ha ha. They also claim we can colonize Mars, an inhospitable and uninhabitable planet. Some claim multiverses and 11 dimensions. A universe can just pop up from invisible particles. This has to do with dark energy and dark matter which are invisible, but hold the key to unlocking the universe. Some believe that we can go back in time and change the past. Some believe all is based on particles we can't see called strings, superstrings and supergravity. What about anthropogenic climate change when the leaders refuse to give up their private jets? What you believe is just as incredulous and there is absolutely no evidence for it.

Unicorns are imaginary, but what exists in the imagination or in the mind can be real. It's just fiction. Aliens are science fiction. I can enjoy that, but can't enjoy what atheist scientists claim is real when they refuse to accept a supernatural God.

I gave plenty of evidence here and the only way I can see all atheists believing in God is in the afterlife. Once everyone gets past the point of no return. Of course, atheists don't believe in the afterlife nor final judgment. Yet, evidence exists that there is one.

You probably don't have evidence that say, unicorns exist, right? And you probably don't have evidence that they don't exist (not sure that even makes sense). So, do you believe in unicorns, or not? If you don't, does it take faith not to believe in unicorns?

I have asked God to reveal himself to me, and he didn't. So your claim is false.

No, you don't because you haven't demonstrated how you know anything about God, including God's existence. Repeating the same ridiculous nonsense doesn't stop it from being nonsense.

I can't give you the insight to see God . You have to acquire that yourself.

*hugs* More of a pill person, myself, but I was a kid, so in kid logic, since I had seen people commit suicide in shows and movies by taking an entire bottle of pills, I thought I would die, but I lacked the medical knowledge to know it kinda depended on WHAT you took, not just that you took them. Even now, as a Kill Bill fan, I have a couple of replica swords that I must give to other family members "to reduce clutter" sometimes. I don't tell them I want to impale myself on them....

Certainty is certainty. People can be certainly wrong as well.

It could be as simple as to work through your stuff. I mean, if you're in a facility ... well, that doesn't say much. Anyway, instead of something grandiose, maybe your purpose at the moment is just to give it time to heal? Not everyone's purpose is worthy to make a movie franchise out of, you know? Sometimes people like you and me are just the backstage crew, working quietly to make sure everything runs right.

For YOU. For POPE, not so much, or he wouldn't be confused, right?

Even when put in proper contexts, though, overkill is still overkill. Torture and murder are the signs of the intellectually lazy, for the most part. They just shouldn't be necessary if we're half as awesome as we like to think we are.

Given you criticize the bible as well, I take it people like us are here, if you're still looking for purpose, to bring it up in a society (world?) less and less favorable to being honest about what is going on.

I agree, but not in the insulting way you meant: Satan is never shown to lie about anything in scenes where he appears. People call him a liar, but he only is more like a mirror, bringing up the darkness in your soul you try to keep secret. He is a spiritual blackmailer, to be sure, but he tells the truth. "Modern" paintings can include nothing but a blank canvas and the "painter" will still get called "painter" even though the "painter" didn't paint anything. :)

We never remain the same so while someone may be in confusion today, the person who's been through it sees the end.

so, you can show me in the Koran where it explains that all these calls to violence and hate are towards violations of a treaty or persecution? The Koran clarifies that all of these verses are specifically targeting only those people?? This is pure and obvious hatred, for it doesn't just fantasize about killing nonmuslims, but also torturing, humiliating, and mutilating them. The Koran preaches pure hatred and bigotry in it's ugliest forms!:

Quran (2:216) – “Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”

Quran (3:56) – “As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.”

Quran (3:151) – “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority”.

Quran (4:89) – “They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.”

Quran (4:95) – “Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-” It appears this passage criticizes “peaceful” Muslims.

Quran (4:104) – “And be not weak hearted in pursuit of the enemy; if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain…”

Quran (5:33) – “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement”

Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”

Quran (8:15) – “O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey’s end.”

Quran (8:59-60) – “And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah’s Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape.

Quran (8:65) – “O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight…”

Quran (9:5) – “So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them.”

Quran (9:14) – “Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace…” Once again, the way Allah wishes to punnish them is by "your hands".

Quran (9:123) – “O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness.”

Quran (33:60-62) – “If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and the alarmists in the city do not cease, We verily shall urge thee on against them, then they will be your neighbors in it but a little while.

Accursed, they will be seized wherever found and slain with a (fierce) slaughter.” This passage sanctions the slaughter (rendered “merciless” and “horrible murder” in other translations)

Quran (47:3-4) – “Those who reject Allah follow vanities, while those who believe follow the truth from their lord. Thus does Allah set forth form men their lessons by similtudes. Therefore when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners,” Those who reject Allah are to be subdued in battle."

Quran (47:35) – “Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost

Quran (48:29) – “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves”

JIHAD – HOLY WAR

Have you ever heard of parents waging holy war against their own children?

And we enjoined man regarding his parents. His mother bore him with hardship upon hardship, and his weaning takes two years. You shall give thanks to me, and to your parents. To me is the final destiny. If they (Jihad) strive to make you set up any partners besides me, then do not obey them. But continue to treat them amicably in this world. You shall follow only the path of those who have sought Me. Ultimately, you all return to me, then I will inform you of everything you have done. – Quran

31:14-15

Jihad means to strive or go forward with perseverance. If it means Holy war, the above verse will look silly to have parents waging holy war against their children.

· And we will test you for we know those who (Jihad) strive among you and those who are patient. And we will bring out your qualities. – Quran 47:31

Try replacing the word Strive with Holy war and understand to yourself how insane it will sound.

Jihad or Jahada means to strive and no verse in the Quran portrays it as a Holy war. But it is the world that has changed the word to mean something it was not originally meant to be. There are many words that has changed meaning overtime but when you read a book written 1400 years ago you must render it by the original meaning. Quran being the criterion, war is not an Islamic personality and Jihad certainly does not mean Holy War.

AND KILL THEM WHEREV ER YOU ENCOUNTER THE M –

QURAN 2:191

Untruthful are those who use this little fragment of the Quran to show that Quran teaches murder and war. It is a deceitful strategy and anyone who quotes a little part of any book, completely out of context are utter and complete hypocrites.

The minor context of this quotation

· And fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not aggress, God does not love the aggressors.

· And kill them wherever you encounter them, and expel them from where they expelled you, and know that persecution is worse than being killed. And do not fight them at the Restricted Temple unless they fight you in it; if they fight you then kill them, thus is the recompense of the rejecters.

· And if they cease, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.

· And fight them so there is no more persecution, and so that the system is for

God. If they cease, then there will be no aggression except against the wicked.

-Quran 2:190-193

You can see that the Quran does not tell you to be the victim but it establishes that you must not be the aggressor. You are allowed to fight back if someone aggressively fights with you. But even then, you are asked to forgive and cease fighting if the enemy seizes his fight. You are allowed to fight only until the persecution stops.

You must fight if someone is weak, being persecuted and are oppressed.

4:75 And why do you not fight in the cause of God, when the weak among the men and women and children say: “Our Lord, bring us out of this town whose people are wicked, and grant us from yourself a Supporter, and grant us from yourself a Victor!”

clip_image002.gif
TERRORISM, SUICIDE B OMBERS AND KILLING THE INNOCENT

The Quran clearly commands no innocent death must occur. Killing an innocent is like killing the whole of humanity.

· It is because of this that we have decreed for the Children of Israel: “Anyone who kills a person who has not committed murder, or who has not committed corruption in the land; then it is as if he has killed all the people! And whoever spares a life, then it is as if he has given life to all the people.” Our messengers had come to them with clarities, but many of them are, after this, still corrupting on the Earth. – Quran 5:32

It is a normal accusation that Islam has tyrannical laws and fundamentalism is looked down upon like a plague. Above are some fundamentals of Islam and proves that fundamentalism is a good thing.

The claim that Islam allows you to randomly assassinate people or groups of people due to their creed is false and is clearly shown. The Quran teaches that you cannot kill unless the recipient has committed murder. Punishment to one person cannot exceed their crime.

When the Quran is quoted in this manner it is a normal and average response by many who like to oppose that the Quran says "or who has not committed corruption in the land" can be killed and you can interpret this corruption to be anything. E.g. a man slanders you and he has committed corruption in the land and you can kill him. Similarly, the Quran gives examples that people with brains to reflect upon. It is a book. Not some 6,346 verses, each to be taken in completely individual context.

What is corruption in the land?

· And in the city were nine ruffians who were causing corruption in the land, and they were not reforming. They said: “Swear by God to one another that we will attack him and his family at night, and we will then say to his supporters: “We did not witness who murdered his family, and we are being truthful” – Quran

27:48-49

· And they schemed a scheme and we schemed a scheme, while they did not notice.

– Quran 27:50

Humans are not even allowed for reward or a thank you note for assisting someone, forget waging war on innocents or be the cause of an innocent human being death.

· “We only feed you seeking the face of God; we do not desire from you any reward or thanks.” – Quran 76:9

I already explained my version of the unicorn from John Lennon I think.

Here's the conservative version:

"Question: "Why does the KJV Bible mention the unicorn?"

Answer:
In several passages (Numbers 23:22, 24:8; Deuteronomy 33:17; Job 39:9-10; Psalm 22:21, 29:6; Isaiah 34:7), the King James Version of the Bible mentions a unicorn. The original Hebrew is the word re’em which was translated monokeros in the Septuagint and unicornis in the Latin Vulgate. Later versions use the phrase “wild ox.” The original Hebrew word basically means “beast with a horn.” One possible interpretation is the rhinoceros. But since the Hebrew tow’apaha in Numbers 23:22 refers to more than one horn, it’s likely the translators of the Septuagint used creative license to infer a wild and powerful, but recognizable animal for their versions.

The re’em is believed to refer to aurochs or urus, large cattle which roamed Europe and Asia in ancient times. Aurochs stood over six feet tall and were the ancestors of domestic cattle. They became extinct in the 1600s. In the Bible, the “wild ox” usually refers to someone with great power. In Numbers 23:22 and 24:8, God compares His own strength to that of a wild ox. In Psalm 22:21, David imagines his enemies as wild oxen. The bull represented several different deities including Baal, Moloch, and the Egyptian Apis. The Israelites tried to adopt these beliefs when they made the golden calf.

Whether the re’em refers to a rhinocerous, or an auroch, or some other horned animal, the image is the same—that of an untamable, ferocious, powerful, wild animal. What we do know is that the Bible is not referring to the mythological “unicorn,” the horse-with-a-horn creature of fairy tales and fantasy literature. It is highly unlikely that the KJV translators believed in the mythological unicorn. Rather, they simply used the Latin term that described a “beast with a horn.”"

Why does the KJV Bible mention the unicorn?

Of course, if it said "there could have been a horse with one horn, but went extinct" the atheists wouldn't believe it. Ha ha.

You are the one that said unicorns did not exist.

And then pretended to not know what I was talking about.

Regarding unicorns, i.e. mythical horse with one horn, I believe they do exist even if it's only in your mind. John Lennon explained, "I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?" So the flying spaghetti monster that atheists like to use in order to parody God does exist. We all know what atheists are referring to. What you want is something material. It doesn't work like that.

However, we covered that what the Bible says as "unicorn" in translation from Hebrew is "beast with one horn" and "wild ox." They thought it was a rhino or auroch. Those are material in the context you mentioned.
