Why does God not talk to us any more?

OK, no debate so if you don't believe in God please don't post.

God spoke to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses just to name a few.

Why does God remain silent in recent times?

I don't think that God remains silent. Speaking for myself - I need to get out of my own way to hear Him.

Maybe it's not so much (if at all) that God spoke verbally, but the prophets and saints were inspired. It's said of the Vedas that they were heard, but I think it's more likely that they were perceived. I think that's how God would speak, and still does.

Maybe we're not listening?

Or maybe when God has spoken to others and told us how to communicate with Him we haven't tried hard enough.

Because It never spoke to people to begin with. I feel like it just created the universe, then left it to it's own devices. Maybe it wants us to figure things out for ourselves.

Give it a couple of thousand years and people will then think that god talked to people now.

I am delightfully reminded of something the German mystic Meister Eckhart said: "God is at home in us, it is we who have gone out for a walk".

Receiving the gods talk requires certain arrangements in physical body and mind. This requires earthly study or you may have it from birth. For example Fasting, isolation, silence oath, meditaiton yoga or praying are not plain rituals.
On the other hand after the current information exchange technology realized on earth there remains no need for further religious organization set up and that will never happen again. In those days people needed local leaders to show them the way. Today everybody knows what is what they just lack the attention and thats never a new thing or ever will be.

You know in Arabic Moses is called موسى كليم الله (Moses Kalim Alah) which means " Moses, the one whom god has spoken directly to ". we, Muslims, think that all prophets and saints has been inspired but Moses is the only human that heard the voice of god.

the prophet Muhammad spoke about this event with his friends. He told them every single thing that happened. He mentioned that god even let him go up to the sixth sky which is the last sky before god because god is in the seventh sky which is the last one ( the highest one and where god exists). But he said that no one ever saw god or spoken to him directly but Moses. (Moses did not see god but he only heard his voice).

Oh God. Someone has to stop Wikipedia. It has so many incorrect information.
It is clearly written in Qur'an and Muhammad said it him self in his Hadith that he went to the 6 skies and did not enter the heavens. Also he did not speak to god as he said no one ever did it before or after Moses. He spoke to god through his angels about the praying times and such. But not directly.

I dont think it can only be Moses that god talked to without understanding what moses is spiritually. In literal speech though, It can only be a check to see how much envy you have inside of yourself and how accepting you are regarding god's words and towards your own nature. ;)

Now there's an example that many worshipers would be well-served to follow!

For sure... people say God never answers their prayers or talks to them. He probably can't get a word in edgewise because people never shut up and give him a chance.
