Aha well you might be right. And actually let me tell you something. I know that the Bible is written by many different saints through many different times. But Qur'an according to Muhammad and Muslims is actually the words of god and only god. Not Muhammad or any other person or angel or anything, it's the words of god himself. So actually god has spoken to all human beings after he sent the Qur'an with his angel "Gabriel". This is direct speech with his exact words but not with his voice.I dont think it can only be Moses that god talked to without understanding what moses is spiritually. In literal speech though, It can only be a check to see how much envy you have inside of yourself and how accepting you are regarding god's words and towards your own nature.

I liked your question. It is one of those questions I have wondered about. Let me answer you this according to Islam.
First we have to understand that according to Islam, Mohammad peace be upon him isnt the prophet who first came with Islam. Islam was there since men put foot on earth. It is the same massage that all messengers came with.
The word Islam means peace acquired by complete submission to the will of God.
Quraan: 21:25 And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."
So God was sending us messengers to tell us about Islam and God sent messengers to all nations:
Quraan 35:24 Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
All the scriptures that were before the Quraan were meant for people of that time so there was no need to preserve it.
But since Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was the final messenger, he was the only one that was sent to all mankind.
Quraan: 21:107-108 And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds. 107 Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?" 108
That is why Quraan was preserved.
Quraan Verse (15:9): Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.
Read the final two sentences. Quraan 5:3Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Now remember what we said before that God was sending us messengers and they all came with the massage of Islam. By sending Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and by following his teaching which is for the whole world, we came to know everything needed about Islam. So this is why God doesnt talk us anymore. Or does he talk with us through Quraan?
For me one thing am sure about is that God is talking to us through the teaching of somebody. I have faith that this somebody is no other than Muhammad peace be upon him.

Can I correct something for you ? It is not only Muhammad that is sent to all mankind, all the former messengers are sent to the whole mankind.
Also, Prophet Muhammad once said that the ones who do almost the same as messengers of god and have the same message and the same role in societies are scientists. Prophet Muhammad said : (Scientists are the lamps of earth, and the successors of the prophets, and the heirs of me, and the heirs of the prophets.). So if god sent his message with his prophets and saints... He is still sending it with the scientists of the societies.

I'll give you the Islamic version of the answer ...
God sent messengers with His Message through out time and every time the people corrupted/changed the Message, He sent another messenger. Essentially, God was preparing mankind with bits and pieces to be culminated into the Climax called 'Islam'. With the last messenger Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and the last Message, The Qur'an that was accomplished. Since this was supposed to be the last Message, God ensured that the message was not lost or corrupted and the responsibility was given to the followers of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) to communicate the same to the rest ...
Some scripture to backup what I stated above ...
"He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein." (Al Qur'an 42:13)
"Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way." (Al Qur'an 5:77)
"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things." (Al Qur'an 33:40)
"This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Al Qur'an 5:3)

As an LDS I believe that God said this would happen. He declared this to the prophet Amos
"11. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it." (Amos 8:11-12)

I think you've been cultured by the Judeo-Christian orthodoxy. The modern teachers of the eastern traditions come with a lot better documentation.

God DOES speak to us still, Christians are just in the wrong faith.
It doesn't matter what faith someone is in if they don't listen.

I have experienced numerous sleep states that posit otherwise. If you're a theist, I think it is acceptable to interpret dreams as a plausible means of communication with the divine.
Note: not all dream experiences, but some.
