Why does the world ignore the forced Christian exodus from the Islamic World?

On this forum, it's clear that most of the world's attention is focused on the Israel - Hamas conflict. No doubt this situation deserves attention.

But simultaneously, and on a MUCH broader and larger scale, Christian minorities are being driven (often with great death tolls), from many Muslim majority countries.

According to the article below, such conflicts are occurring in:

- Syria
- Iraq
- Afghanistan
- Egypt
- Mali
- Ethiopia
- Ivory Coast
- Libya
- Nigeria
- Pakistan

World Ignores Christian Exodus from Islamic World

Why are these conflicts being ignored?

That's just the nature of the media. One story will always overshadow the others. It's unfortunate. However, I'm glad people are trying to get the word out because what's happening in the middle east is awful.

I wish I could do more than just wish for the safety of these people.

And don't forget that they crucified christians.

Yet, just about nothing from the world.

Jews will be more concerned with news that affect Jews. Arabs will be more concerned with news that affect Arabs...

The others? They say they are pro-human rather than anti-Jew or anti-Muslim, but I don't believe it for 1 minute because, as you pointed out, these same people are no where near as active as they were during the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Organized religion needs to either be revolutionized, especially Islam, if they need to be rethought entirely. Look at all the evil done around the world in the name of religion.

The Middle Eastern Christians need their own land, and they need to grab it through force. There are millions of them, they should come together and create a Christian land.

How many of them have to die before they realize this?

I think the Middle East needs a legit secular country who will come down heavy on any religious persecution in their neighborhood. The Highlander religions (There can be only One...God, Messiah, book, last prophet, religion, etc.) dominating over there and fighting amongst each other has made it an endless joke.

For this to happen, Middle Eastern people have to change their mentality. Rather than seeing West as their enemy, they should adopt Western concepts of Democracy, Secularism etc.
But exodus of Christians is a terrible loss for Middle Eastern people too. One of the most educated, professional, and skilled group is gone. Rather than improvement, Middle East is going to sink more into poverty and violence.

Its hard to happen. The Egypt and Iraq of 60 yrs ago were more secular than today. And the problem, its the youth rather than the aged that is Islamized. I dont see the problem of Muslim Extremism going away for at least 2-3 generations.

The terrors have been so vast that many victimised groups, sects, religions and communities' have been overlooked.

And the West cannot do much about it at this time, I think..... every time a Western power gets involved it becomes the satanic force, hated by everybody.

May Heaven help every single person within the grip of ISIS, who is not a supporter of ISIS.

A lot of secular leaders were deposed by Western intelligence agencies or armies. Gadaffi, Assad and Saddam come to mind.

Yes! This is what caused the waves that became the tsunami.
And now the West is in a complete funk ....... we have disgraced ourselves.

It shouldnt be only for Christians. It should be land for all persecuted minorities of Middle East, Christians, Yezidis, Mandeans, Zoroastrians, Jews, Bahai etc

It seems we have a lot of agreement in this thread.

So what explanations are there for the world's "news" organizations to be so fixated on Israel vs. Hamas, and so relatively blind to these bigger problems?

Worlds "news" organizations are mostly Liberal. I dont know what is the reason, but Liberals like to bash Christians a lot. So they turn a blind eye to the problems of Persecuted Christians. Remember Meriam Ibrahim( the Sudanese Christian woman who was being tho forced to convert to Islam). The media was practically ignoring the whole thing. But if the opposite were the case (Muslim woman being forced to convert to Christianity), the Media would be making a hue and cry. As Shahz said, Liberals and Islamists are opposite side of the same coin.

Interesting... would you say that "Liberals" and "progressives" and "relativists" are allied? If so, that might be a useful rule of thumb.

A French commentator remarked that the Arab Christians are too foreign for the right wingers and too Christian for the left. And, of course, they don't control any oil wells.

I think "secular" is a misleading word in this context. While it's strictly correct from the perspective of the dictionary, in today's world it's come to mean almost the opposite of what the dictators you mentioned represented.

In some ways, you might even say that dictators create religions around themselves.

I'm still interested in understanding this thread's use of the word "Liberal" - can anyone define it in this context?
