It was just one brainless idiot copying the thoughtless ramblings of another. The original author of the plagairized essay in the OP stole his title from a good essay by a real philosopher, Bertrand Russel, whose essay "Why I am not a Christian" is actually a world-changing work.

So it's a plagarism of a plagarism?

No that isn't that unusual actually. Some of the closest people to God are dirt poor and live under oppresion, but what you have is an oppurtunity to have the best of both worlds if you choose to take it.

I tried it. Didn't work for me. You can't satisfy everyone, you know.

Christianity isn't something that you "try" according to the Bible. If you are truely saved, you will not reject God. If it is your stance that you "tried" Christianity and didn't find it to your liking, I would respond that that is impossible.

"Tried" as in I was a Christian for 14 years, and it (and He) wasn't helping me through my problems. So I decided to do it myself

And just to let you know, you can't reject something that is unfalsifiable :rainbow1:
