Why Is Only Earth Carrying Life?

Thief

Rogue Theologian
Why would God only put life on one of the planets at least in our solar system? Most worlds are undoubtedly just lumps or rock, ice and gas. Why would God not create other species and peoples for those? It seems a terribly wasted opportunity. Even if we find some life on more distant stars, it is clear that the bulk of the universe is devoid of life. Without God that is easy to grasp why, but with a God, it would seem that creation experimentation would be carried out elsewhere.
sorry to be here soooooo late
and maybe someone has already said so.....

the FORM of life is important
this particular item called Man is quite different from the rest of the life on this planet

this form in turn forms spirit.....much more so than the rest of the forms
and the chemistry is proving to be exact
deviations in the least of degrees....and the form won't function very well

spirit struggles in the lesser forms
and the chemistry is all that matters
a few twists of molecules and the scheme is greatly different

this planet.....has what it takes
this planet is as complex as we are
it is not just a rock with water on it

and the rest of life on this planet has a knowing of reality?....and science?
and the rest of life on this planet shares much of our DNA, so, no, not so different from the standpoint of science.

As I said, the differences are usually important to theists who like to feel they are superior because their god created them separately. Humans didn't even exist for 99% of the earths existence.

Ridiculous. Even now we are looking for planets that have the capability of sustaining life. Though at the moment we can't get there, in the future we will. Identifying them is the first step.

That is hardly "searching them". When we can do more than identify possible planets, and we are finding more and more, then perhaps we can start to search them for life. Life is almost a given in the universe. But one should not conflate life with intelligent life. Our planet is only one sample but for only the smallest fraction of a percent of its existence has it hosted intelligent life.

All we can say at this point is "we shall see."

how long we have been here
and how much dna we share with other creatures......IS this line drawn

and theology is not

we humans are greatly different
and it takes only a few tweaks of molecules for the difference to show

and from the standpoint of science
the rest of the life on this planet.....doesn't have science

So you agree that we have slowly evolved from "lesser" entities to where we are today. That's good.

I believe there was an event
something most surely did change the course of Man

I do not believe Adam was the first man to walk this earth

I believe (as noted in the new testament)
Adam is a chosen son of God
the first man to walk with God

the garden event is report....
of a chosen specimen
ideal living conditions (peri dish)
anesthesia, surgery, cloning, genetic manipulation

Eve is a clone
the genetics altered early in development to form a female
she had no navel......not born of woman

Adam was given his twin sister for a bride

and the specimens were released into the environment
the garden (having served it's purpose) was dismantled

Well, I sincerely hope you continue to enjoy your fairy tale.
