Why is Public Nudity Wrong or Immoral?

I wonder how many women would find him immoral:

Moderator cut: image removed

If I saw him walking around like that, or even nude, I would think he was an arrogant show off and wouldn't be impressed at all.

There is a time and place for being nude/ wearing underwear.

Nudity is not a thing of evil and it is our thoughts, feelings or responses to them that makes them ugly or beautiful. Our clothes were not there on our bodies when we were born and there were no wrappings in the beginning. Our attitudes harmony nudity cannot be devilish. Private parts are not ugly and they are beautiful but our eyes, our conditioned minds and our preoccupations are colored and that smear the purity of the body. The thing observed is not ugly and the observer's beholding of it with a preoccupied mind makes it foul. Those private parts are celestial things and our perceptions, impressions and opinions smeared them.

When you see a naked child you take it easy and when the same innocent child grows into an adulthood you color up your mind with lots of preoccupations and fetishes and your imagination is fouled

I'm curious, why would that be your perception?

It would depend where he was dressed like that to be fair.

From experience, men who look like that do like to show off their bodies. Where I am from - it is very hot and on the beaches it is fine, but around town people tend to think it's more about showing off than being in the sun.

Like with me, i would be happy to wear a bikini in some places, but not in others - even if I am so proud of my tan etc. Yet some of my friends wear it anywhere back home to flirt and show off - their words!

I guess I get your point:no:. You must just be trying to get under my skin. The Bible and here and now are completely different things.

"It is" has nothing to do with "it was" in most cases. You know; I made a simple post and you have shown you have asked for explanation. I gave it and you still want to harp on things.

The rules of today are nothing more than a social construct. The rules in the beginning were about shame.

Considering some Africans still run around naked it could have something to do with climate and comfort as well.

Here's a thought that just occurred to me from reading Atanu's post.

Maybe I'm strange, but it seems to me that blatant cleavage and small bikinis are more sexually oriented than simple naked breasts. This is because both of those things are geared towards drawing sexual attention to them, whereas bare breasts are just bare breasts.

Thoughts?

That's pretty much the common sentiment, I think. Reminds me of the nudist camp joke - a man sees a beautiful naked woman and says to his friend, "I wonder what she'd look like in a swimsuit."

Clothes are more for protection I think otherwise someone might trip or have other accidents.

I've heard men say it is because it leaves more to the imagination.:)
In a very real sense that's a fact. While I see nothing inherently wrong with public nudity, I prefer females who do exactly what you bring up: partially dress to leave more to the imagination. And I think if public nudity became commonplace we men would be robbed of that experience. At least I know I would regret the loss.

Well the male in the picture you perceived instantaneously was negative. It appears that you do find the man in the picture to be attractive and have a nice physique but caution that if he looked like that around certain areas he would be cocky. That is quite curious indeed.

PS, unfortunately it doesn't always work for us poorly endowed women. :(

First, Meow Mix, given your remarkable personality, brains, and free spirit, you really don't need more cleavage. That would just be adding sugar to sugar. You are the only lesbian who has made me want to be a woman, monthly cramps and all -- ever.

Second, If you have never spent much time at nudist resorts, it might seem counter-intuitive to you that people are sexiest when at least partly clothed, but it is true to at least my own experience. I should have hundreds of memories of naked chicks from the times I've been to resorts. But I don't. Instead, I have hundreds of memories of chicks walking down the street in short skirts, tight shorts, or light, flouncy dresses.

For example: A young friend of mine is a former Victoria's Secret's model. We've been to nudist resorts 40 or so times together. Out of all those times seeing her naked, I only recall one image of her. But I vividly recall nearly every detail of the day she took me into the dressing room of our local Victoria's Secrets store to model several pairs of panties for me.

Now why is that? Near as I can figure, public nudity is not primarily a sexual experience, except perhaps to the novice. For most nudists, public nudity seems to be more an experience of openness, tolerance, and acceptance, than of sexuality. There are few places I've been where I have felt more intimate with my friends, without feeling sexual, than nudist resorts.

That doesn't mean the sexual feelings are entirely absent. But those feelings are not dominant. They become secondary at most, less than secondary most often.

Last, if you and your partner ever come to Colorado, look me up. I'll direct you to the best resort in the State.

Friend Sunstone,

On the question on *NUDITY -wrong/immoral??*
We are born without clothes then where did clothes come in?
Was it nudity? No, it was the mind which held on to the sensuous spots of the other that saw it in anything resembling it and we have seen how some can get their sexual organs to arouse just by imagination of those parts.
Meaning feeling of sex are in the human minds and as most humans have no control over their own minds they try to first clothe themselves and then speak of morality etc.

I never said I find him attractive, I actually do not go for guys like that.

Even if you think it is curious, it's my opinion based on experience. Can't change that.

Well I am not attracted to overweight women so if you showed me a picture of a fat woman in a two piece bikini (with a thong) the first thought in my mind wouldn't "if she looked like that around town I would think she is cocky." Rather I would say "Damn she is big" in my mind of course.

Well there is a big difference in the way we see things.

I can see that.

Hey, I'd love to hit up a resort sometime. She has family out west, so maybe!
