I'm just tired of the city the industrial noise and smog and the people who are overpopulated and always in a hurry and I'm tired of the class struggle of poor and middle class all the time it's just such a depressing hostile environment to live In day to day.

There's no such thing as utopia but the modern world is pretty awesome compared to even the relatively recent past. The fact that you can post inane threads on the internet; communicating instantly with people from all over the world is itself a technological marvel that would have been near inconceivable just a few generations ago.

The threads I have seen from you amount to you shaking your fists at clouds. I'm not saying everything you post needs to be deep, but honestly, get an actual point.

I live in the country side specifically for that reason.
Cities are far to crowded, loud, rushed, smelly, etc for my taste.

I'll take the morning smell of a farm over city fumes every day of the week.

As opposed to what the Dark ages or the Roman period or when we lived in caves. Perhaps you like the Great depression period or the during the times when we had the World Wars. People today have it easy perhaps too easy, whereas; they make mountains out of mole hills. Workers died regularly on the job, women died in birth and children worked hard labor not even 100 years ago. What is so hard about today? Its rather simple when you had to work yourself to the bone just to survive you couldn't think about anything else. Today we have too much time to think and for most humans this is a bad thing.

Well, if it's any consolation, you're not the only one who has found fault with city living.

Somewhere out there on that horizon
Out beyond the neon lights
I know there must be somethin' better
But there's nowhere else in sight

It's survival in the city
When you live from day to day
City streets don't have much pity
When you're down, that's where you'll stay
In the city, oh, oh.
In the city

I was born here in the city
With my back against the wall
Nothing grows, and life ain't very pretty
No one's there to catch you when you fall
Somewhere out on that horizon
Faraway from the neon sky
I know there must be somethin' better

And I can't stay another night
In the city, oh, oh.
In the city

Welcome to capitalism! Grind the people down to make more money for the corporations. To hell with the biosphere and the suffering and struggles of the workers.

Socialism is our only hope.

There are many ways to tell the story. How someone tells the story will more or less align with their own way of life and their own values. Some will tell the story about how you are mistaken in you assessment, because they do not share in your life experiences and perspective. Some will tell the story blaming a government or a socioeconomic system. Perhaps some sort of cultural trend or movement, such as industrialization, colonialism, or globalism. Others still will look to explanations in biological sciences, social sciences, or environmental sciences. And yet others will use stories and themes from their deeply-held truths (aka, religions) that speak of fractured relations, sinful natures, or maybe failed paths to balance and harmony.

What story do you want to tell about it, and what does that say about you?

Gods kingdom is the only remaining hope.

Greed run capitalism works like this--It must have growth
Every 100 years prices double
Every 50 years prices double
Every 25 years prices double
Every 12 years prices double-- we are here
Every 6 years prices double- total disaster for the majority.
every 3 years prices double-most are slaves to the greedy ultra rich.

Why is the world so dam hostile? Good question. While hydroelectric power may be “clean,” it certainly has environmental consequences. I suspect that plays a large role in the hostility.

The world has ALWAYS been hostile. It is only the nature of the oppression that changes. If you were born 20,000 years ago, you would always be concerned with attacks from wild animals, rotten food poisoning you, not having enough to eat, dying from the elements, and being attacked by other bands of people.

I feel the same way about modern life. The density of population is absolutely oppressive, leading people into rude, harmful, and aberrant behaviors. Noise pollution is a very big deal for me. The dangers of even drinking water is infuriating. And yes, the class system and its disparity of wealth is something I think future generations will criticize about us just as we criticize past generations for slavery.

While there is some truth to seeing the glass half full rather than half empty, there really does come a point when the story we tell might be divorced from reality. If I look at Bluebeard and say, "Oh, his beard really isn't that blue," that's the moment I risk being killed by him.

I agree. I think the natural world (with exceptions) holds much beauty, peace and order, but the human world system has become increasingly detached, from natural creation, chaotic, with inequality prevailing. I await the return of Christ to bring restoration and peace.

The dissociation of humans from the natural world began in earnest with the agrarian revolution and the building of cities. When human beings see ourselves as separate from other animals, the damage is already done.

Noahs day=99.9% mislead-very violent
Jesus compares these last days to Noahs day-Luke 17:26--99% minimum mislead today. Govts and false religions divide mankind.
Satan, through hollywood and the such, promotes violence, immoral sex and the such. As do video games. Some music. The world that lives in darkness allow them to feed our children's minds and hearts with the crap as we were fed it.
