Why is your belief right?

Pardus

Proud to be a Sinner.
We can all say its because we follow it and believe its right, but why?

I don't believe it's right, i believe it's right for me.

What about the belief appeals to you?

It fits.

What do you find logical?

All of it.

What do you find lacking?

Nothing.

Why do you believe it to be the Truth over other religions?

"I'd rather be happy than right"

Why do you think its God's will?

I don't believe nature has a will, it just is.

Why do you think your religion's understanding of Scripture is correct?

N/A

What do you think about everyone else thinking they are right in their Scriptural understanding and beliefs?

Their life, just don't force it on me.

I am not certain that my beliefs are right. I am not even certain that my beliefs are right for me. However, my beliefs are constructed in such a way that this would only matter if incorrigible proof was produced that showed otherwise.
Yes, well said. My beliefs stem from years of study of the ancient world, the more I studied the theology, the more it found space in my head. Then it began to resonate, like the gods were speaking to me and I understood where my heart lay. In a dry place, called today, Karnak, but back then, way back then, it was known as Ipet-Swt,' the most esteemed of places'. There's no logic involved, it is simply what calls you home.

It is one thing to believe that your beliefs are right but how many people here feel that it is inconcievable that their beliefs might be wrong? Keep in mind that if you say that you know your beliefs are right, then this is what you are implying.
That is an excellent question to add to the list.

As for the word "Truth", truth is anything a person believes in factual. Realities of each individual are different. Therefore, truth and Scriptural understandings are relative. This is why religion, particularly Christian religions, need to be left to the judgment of the Higher Being.

As for the word "Scripture", scripture is any document, belief, or doctrine that a person holds themselves accountable.
