Paul was never a "Holy Man". He was an opportunist. A mmarketing man. He saw a gap, and saw the potential of this small cult of fanatics, and went for the takeover. There were no contemporaneous peers of this Jesus, who could offer a valid alternative catechism, all he had to was collect up any teachings of this "Jesus", cherry pick the main selling points, discard a few contradictions, (and any un-necessary bits involving women of course) into one, marketable volume.

And then, with his extensive international network of influential friends, and his obsession with writing sanctimonious letters to gullible well placed idiots, he just had to sell his product. So he bolted it onto a cut down cherry picked Old Testament from "The God of Moses' best bits", and went to work. Before long, the potential paid off. Long term plan? To replace the old, crumbling Roman Empire, with a new, (ostensibly spiritual, so as not to overtly threaten the established power structure of any Secular Rulers) Holy Roman Empire.

In fact, why not convert the Kings as it spread. Better still, franchise whole Kingdoms out, to officially sanctioned Administrative Rulers. Pick the target demographic carefully. Fool them into accepting that they have a God given right to rule, then when they bite, introduce them to his new sleeping partner, the Bishop of Christ on Earth. And before long, it's

"The Pope? He's your new Boss. Just carry on as before, just confess your "sins"* to a "Archbishop" now and again. Then, if you truly repent, (and pay some piffling penance set by my man in the fish hat) it can really work out for you.
Your "sins" can be forgiven, and you can go to Heaven and join Jesus when you die.

Instead of burning in a lake of Hellfire, with Satan and his demons torturing you. For. All. Eternity.
Yes, Paul was like a cross between Machiavelli and Simon Cowell. Opportunist, well connected, and in the right place, at the right time to exploit the market forces.

*Sin. An insiduous little viral meme Paul thought up, that imprints itself all through the carefully chosen Gospels, and sublimates itself in the "Guilt / Supplication centres of the Pious mind. Stitched up like a kipper.

that reminds me of a book I read (and recommend)...

Amazon.com: JUNGLE CHILD (9781844082612): SABINE KUEGLER: Books

^ that means actually that whenever someone died, of old age or a disease or by accident etc., they usually assumed someone from neighbouring tribe had cursed them, and seeked revenge.

stop and imagine that for a second. madness! no wait, just ignorance. that's basically where we all come from... crawling in the dark, having spooky, silly ideas in the head.

you said there is proof -- where? because that people believe it, and would "confirm it", means *nothing*. opinions are not proof.

I don't actually reply to your post because I don't realize it.

Westerner is good at talking but a coward when we saying about reality. Me, I don't actually good at writing but I never lie in a serious, religious and political discussion.

I really don't understand why westerner like to make fool of others when we discussing on mystical thing. I guess it's because Westerner is ignorance. I don't care if I got notice from the mod for writing such.

I know that mystical thing is rare in Europe, America and some Asian country. But for your information, it's common in South East Asia. Country like Japan also don't realize it. I have the reasons for all my saying.

When I mean 'common', I really mean it. It's a common topics. I don't understand why you shouldn't believe in me if I heard it's spoken everywhere in my country and the neighborhood country. The most common that associated with adult is love potion.

When I was a child, my father was also into sorcery. As a kid, I don't really care whatever happen around me. What I really care is the cartoon and game. I live in a small village which is not too village nowadays. My house was only 2-3 meters to my uncle's house. One day, my house was all mess like it was robbed. Egg was on the roof, my swimming pool floats was punctured, my father's motorcycle spare-part was out from it's box. Whoever or 'whatever' that broke into my house is looking for something. The most weird thing is that my house is made up of wood. There's no sign of thievery. All doors were locked. Remember my uncle's house? Yup, he's at home. I don't how to tell you, but it's my personal experience. How am I suppose to deny my own self?

Hi! Such a belief (that unmarried state helps you more to serve God) goes against God's will. For humans were created to raise children and eventually fulfil the earth. It's one thing. And the other one is written in 1 Timothy 4:1-3:
"However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2*by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron; 3*forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth. "

good scritpure to use as it shows clearly that Paul wasnt forbidding anyone to marry. its pretty clear that those churches who do forbid marriage among its priests did not get the idea from the christian greek scriptures.

I think it is against the nature of human. It's like torturing ourself. I heard a lot of news in the television about child abuse related to the christian priest.

Human nature is to get (legally?) married?
Some say marriage is torture. : hamster :
To be fair, molestation can happen no matter if you're married or not.

To get legally is not the nature, it's the method to manage the nature. The nature is human desire.
