Why should people act morally?

Humans are social animals.... thus we have the need to interact with one another and not want to kill our 'packmates' off... thus we developed morality. Not murdering your neighbor/cavemate was common sence... one less person was one less helper, one more step tword extinction and caused emotional distress among the others wich in turn made them less productive and more prone to harming you in retaliation.

If you look at any other species with a highly developed social structure you will see that they have a similer sence of morality as man.
