Why some people care about degree of nudity of Muslims women?

No it's up to me as of how i choose my wife, if she accepted me as I'm then we can stay together otherwise
she can be free to choose a man of her choice.

The irony of this thread is that it has shown that the overwhelming majority of people who fuss over how women dress themselves are not the dirty, lustful and sinful kuffar men: instead it is the muslim men themselves.

The Hijab will not deter rapists. The responsibility lies on the potential attacker to control themself, rather than on the victim covering up.
So, back to Godobeyer's point regarding a country's laws and customs: should non-muslims in Saudi Arabia be free to wear a bikini in public?

I agree 100%, but it is less likely when wearing Hijab and is a more safer option overall.

Yes, if they want.

:)

Why should a woman expose her breasts to "their fathers, their husband's fathers...their brothers, their brother's sons, their sister's sons...male attendants?" Husbands makes since, nursing aged sons makes since, but not nursing aged daughters? But what's with the showing them to all these guys about?

It never says expose breasts to fathers or any relatives, i advise you to read it again.

Really? Wearing a Hijab reduces the probability of sexual assault? Where is your evidence?

EDIT: Also, so you're okay with women walking around outside in bikinis in muslims countries?

If muslim men actually adhered to their restrictions on looking at women, then the women wouldn't need to cover up in the first place.
Also, it is not to protect themselves from Atheists and non-muslims.

If not to protect themselves from the eyes of the non-muslims and not also from the muslims, then from whom?

Get off your high horse, muslims are no less perverted than non-muslims: they just spend more effort pretending they're not.
The same is observed in conservative christians who claim to be pure.

No one is perfect.

Funny how the attitude changes when the "host" is a muslim country and the "guest" is a non-muslim. . .

regardless, everyone should respect the laws of the country.

Chapter 33, Verse 59: O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons: that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested.

Why would they be molested? Millions of women walk around everyday without tablecloths draped over their bodies and don't get molested.
Why does the Quran single out just women to adhere to a dress code?

It isn't molested but abused, being treated as sex object than a human being.
Showing her body intentionally as sex object is harming her at fist place.

On average, who would a Man rather rape a women whose butt is wide open or a women whose body is covered not to mention niqaab.

I am not okay with it, it is just that it is their own free choice in my opinion. Many people will not appreciate it and will cause conflict.

I am not saying Hijab is main reason of less rape but it does in a way help more. But mostly it is modesty.

Except if the women chose to go shopping naked then i don't know if you still agree that they're free to do so.

Muslim men are taught as not to look at women, looking at women is a sin, so
i think Muslim women wear hijab to protect themselves from the atheists and
not from Muslims.

Yeah...because atheists are running rampant...
At least up until they're arrested for their lack of religion.

Wow. So you support the notion that atheist men stare at women by doubling down and conflating atheism and fundamentalist communism?

Nice.

It's about as accurate as me saying 'Theists fly planes into buildings, therefore I would prefer my wife to avoid all theists'.

Bravo for lifting the arguments in this thread to a new level of hyperbolic ignorance.

It appears to be a practice that was designed to protect muslim men from having to engage in self-control.
Similar to covering up the cakes because the children refuse to learn self-control, not the best way to go about it in my opinion.

No one is perfect.

Correct. I just wish certain people would stop pretending they are noble and pure, whilst claiming the non-believers are sinful, lustful immoral dogs.

regardless, everyone should respect the laws of the country.
Including Burkha-clad women in the west? Or does "When in Rome" only apply when it's non-muslims in muslim countries?

The quran doesn't mention sexual abuse, so no it isn't about avoiding rape or such.
Why doesn't the koran mention sexual assault? This is the final message of almighty god after all. . .

On average, who would a Man rather rape a women whose butt is wide open or a women whose body is covered not to mention niqaab.
To my knowledge, the majority of rapes are committed by someone who closely knows the victim. The whole "woman walking alone on the street" scenario actually makes up the minority of cases.
Still, I honestly do not know as I am not a rapist and do not know their thought-patterns. Though I would guess they'd look for an easy, submissive target: so that could actually be the woman "submitting to god" in the Niqab.
I am not okay with it, it is just that it is their own free choice in my opinion. Many people will not appreciate it and will cause conflict
May I ask why you're not okay with it?

Never once.

You are making false suppositions and false equivalence.

Splendid for making distorted and inaccurate surmise to endeavor contretemps, although not very truly.

In my opinion, so long as they're wearing underpants (for hygiene purposes), I do not care if men and women walk around without all other clothes in public all day. Though I'd hope the ones doing so would be conscious enough to maintain good personal hygiene. :D

No, just like no one cares when 3 year olds are wearing only nappies at the beach etc.
I mean, yeah, I'd find it bizarre and gross, but it shouldn't be prohobited. Though it woukd feel less awkward if such dress standards were the norm like it is in some hotter countries.

It says, directly from what you posted:
And tell the believing women to...not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons...or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women.

To which I asked what's up with this showing them to all these different men?
