Why the USA is fighting in Syria ?

Why are Islamic fanatics fighting in Syria to suppress the original "pagan" religion of the Assyrian people? Who do these invaders think they are? This evil has been going on for too long, Islamic fanatics get out of Syria now.

The Assyrians and all Mesopotamian peoples experienced great religious and cultural freedom and then came the severe religious and ethnic persecution after the Arab Islamic invasion and conquest of the 7th century AD. Now the Islamic fanatics continue to mass murder the Mesopotamian culture and people as never before seen.

Get out.

And get out of France, too.

At times, SF, I'm starting to think that you & reality aren't very good friends In fact, if this post is anything to go by, you're hardly acquaintances. Mesopotamian Paganism, by & large, was either destroyed by Judaism or was assimilated in to it(Judaism). Whatever was left was most certainly snuffed out by Christianity of varying flavours. By the time Mohammad was making his rounds, it was a long-crippled, perhaps even entirely dead, faith & society.

You can blame a lot of cultural destruction by Islam, but you're blaming them for things b before their time.

It makes me wonder if anyone in the American government wants to fight Syria to get rid of Assad just to see what malignant cancerous infestation replaces a relatively benign and simple infection.
