Why Trump Supporters Believe He Is Not Corrupt

Maybe you should take the advice of the youngsters that strap you into the roller coasters at Disneyworld just before they send you flying up the track, "Enjoy your ride..."
You didn't think this thread was about discussing anything, did you?
I think you're missing the point of threads like this, ie, that carping is the ride.

There are riding techniques to learn....
- Make it personal about Trump....continual name calling, personal flaws,
boorish behavior.
- Make it personal about all who voted for him or support him....they're racists,
dumb hicks, immoral.
- Decry policy when it can be used to demonize, eg, a child dies while being held.
(The old "Think of the children!" appeal to emotion.)
- Ignore policy which could be seen as reasonable, eg, criminal justice reform,
income tax reform (TCAJA) limiting SALT deductions.
- Never allow consideration of alternatives:
Trump: He's corrupt & incompetent, but not Hillary. Her war mongery, ineptitude
& double dealing are not to be discussed. Cry "False equivalency!" if ever she's
compared to him.
Immigration: His policy is heinous, but propose no alternative (because it will have
flaws too).
- When addressing a policy, paint it as all bad, eg, the TCAJA is all "tax cuts for the
wealthy". Don't acknowledge changes in deductions which have the wealthy paying
more.
- There are only 2 camps: You either oppose Trump, or you support him.
There is no position which does neither, & is solely about siding for or against policies.

You're a Trump supporter, therefore you're a scurrilous dog (no offense, @sun rise).
You believe Trump isn't corrupt, & you excuse or approve of everything he's done.
There is no defense, but for joining their side.

The answer to why Trump supporters think that he is not corrupt is the same as the reason that despite Trump going onto national television and proclaiming that he would proudly shut down the government over funding for a wall only to have the majority of such people blame the Democrats anyway. It's intense tribalism absent other principles. Anything Trump does will be OK to his base - anything.

Or maybe a Trump supporter reading these words can tell us what would turn you against Trump, and cause you to see him as morally or intellectually unfit to be the America president?

These are parallel processes running concurrently. He's dealing with both the law and the court of public opinion. The public has no duty to reserve judgment until the end of the legal process. Nor does Congress, which should feel free to impeach even before any criminal charges are filed in the courts.

I don't need more evidence to know that Trump is corrupt. He has been convicted of fraud, he is a confessed serial sexual predator, he has been exposed as a serial adulterer who has unprotected sex with porn stars while his wife is at home attending to their newborn son, he is surrounded like a mafia don by confessed and convicted criminals, he has no relationship with the truth, and he admires dictators. What more do you need to make a judgment here about the man's character?

So yeah, we reserve judgment until we have enough evidence to "convict," but I have that now.

What has Trump been officially charged with?

Is there any link between Trump Derangement Syndrome and irregular bowell movements? Have some not been able to poop right since 2016?

Quite a bit. This is compliments of @Axe Elf from another thread:

The People vs. Donald Trump: An Updated Guide to Every Major Lawsuit the President Faces

All of that and whatever the Mueller investigation, the upcoming House investigations, the SDNY and EDVA, and DC and the state of Maryland come up with down the line, are irrelevant to the second process to which I referred - the one assessing moral fitness occurring outside of courtrooms. Like tens or hundreds of millions of others, I don't need another criminal conviction to reach a verdict in this second process.

Don't go put'n anyone thru windows.

There's a word for that :

De·fen·es·tra·tion - the action of throwing someone or something out of a window.

Is there any link between Trump Derangement Syndrome and irregular bowell movements?

Speaking of which, I'm more interested in why so many Trump supporters can't seem to give a cr*p about the character of the person that represents America. When did that stop mattering to almost half of the country?

This is not what I asked. What criminal charges have been brought against the President of the United States? Being in business myself I, too, have been sued once or twice. This is pretty much a non issue.

Speaking of which said:
Are you really going to sit there with a straight face and strike a "holier than thou" attitude concerning liberal leaders? I'm not sure the financial success of , say, Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein for example, would pass the smell test. How about an Anthony Weiner or Harry Reid? How about an ex-leader in the Ku Klux Klan--Harry Byrd? And God forbid we should forget the serial rapist Bill Clinton. C'mon, give us a break.

If he live through to retirement, he probably will face the law.
Till then he is pretty much untouchable.

Again, you are just showing your true colors. There is absolutely no way you could know anything of the sort. Maybe it's time to move on to a more viable reality.

yawn <ignore> yawn
Probably, possibly, may have, allegedly, etc. etc. seem to be some of the most used words when talking about Trumps supposed misdeeds.
Clinton's impeachment wasn't based on his cheating on Hillary.
It was based on his being put under oath and lying about cheating on Hillary.

So let's see if Trump could get through a session, under oath, about his foreign financial entanglements that potentially conflict with national security issues. Questions asked by the likes of Nancy Pelosi. About things dramatically more important than a BJ.

Let's see if Trump can do that without lying. And thereby committing perjury.
I don't think Trump can do it.

Usually about something he has planned for me.

Look at how edumacated I am!

I would NEVER say such a thing.....STOP with the ventose utterances of vacuity.......Don't make me fustigate you....BEFORE I defenestrate you

This is not what I asked. What criminal charges have been brought against the President of the United States?

Has Donald Trump been formally charged and convicted of a crime?

Trump is corrupt, and I've already laid out much of the evidence supporting that conclusion. Neither of you seem interested in that. You both want to deflect to an unrelated topic - that Trump hasn't been convicted of any crimes yet, as if that is the measure of corruption.

NO It Was Not. He obstructed justice in a case of a woman accusing him of sexual misconduct with perjury added on. His impeachment had nothing to do with Hillary and/or Monica Lewinsky. Google it, at least.

Convicted?? He hasn't even been charged. Welcome to reality.

Oh so it's ok for Trump to engage in name calling, boorish behavior, exhibit personal flaws etc but it's not OK to point out what he really is and how he really acts.

Decry policy when it can be used to demonize, eg, a child dies while being held.
(The old "Think of the children!" appeal to emotion.)

So it's OK if children die due to bureaucratic misdeeds. Classic.

An yes, Hillary derangement syndrome in full flower. Powerful accomplished women are so threatening, aren't they. Just wait a bit. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar are going to make you long for Hillary Clinton. Those two and perhaps some others are going to make the right wingnuts pee in their pants.

Democrats have proposed alternatives which the right has ignored and now lies that there have been no such alternatives proposed. The border is more secure now and illegal immigration is down more than ever. And of course ignore the enforcement actions of President Obama because the last thing someone on the right can do is say anything good about a Democrat.
