Why Ukraine might invade Russia!

Who do you think the US is going to fight in addition to Russia?
Maybe everyone. The thing is that this battleground has been chosen not by us but by someone else. That is not good. You should always prefer to choose the time and place. Walking into a prepared battle zone with an enemy who has been planning a confrontation for ten or more years is not really the best battle plan. It is analogous to marching your solders in neat rows into firing musket balls.

It has been planned. There is bait, and we don't know who else is involved. Its not a dynamic situation, yet. It is someone's planned invasion which is also a trap.

I think that's being extremely generous to the level of forethought and planning that has likely been going on in Putin's inner circle. In my opinion, those guys are flying by the seat of their pants just like everyone else.

And I find that arguably the greater danger - that, in a desperate attempt to turn up the heat, the political elites in Russia or China find themselves in a position where they have been pushing too aggressively and now can't back down from a fight any more without losing face. That's the kind of mindset that produced WW1.

Joe Biden is a man, and he will be tempted to go to war. The enemy expects it. If he doesn't go to war he looks weak, so it is politically expedient for him to go. No one will blame him.

I agree with you about that losing face stuff.

I like what you are cooking. Perhaps it is not so well planned, and perhaps there are not secret allies involved or a surprise betrayal.
