Sooo, this has been bothering me and makes me laugh sometimes. I don't know that any of you will have an answer, but I will ask anyways.

Why is Trump orange?

Famous people often have to wear disguises when they go out. Pres. Trump doesn't. He wears his mask when he is under the camera, so he can go out without one. He can disguise himself if he needs to simply by changing his hair and not wearing bronzer. I doubt anyone would recognize him on the street.

What? Me worry?
So when did it become fashionable to talk talk about a President's skin color?

Why does he accept scientific advice and wear UV goggles when he's on his sun bed? Surely wearing a copper bracelet stops the harmful gamma rays?

I recall a line in a novel about the sort of people encountered in places like Mar-a-Lago:

" ...women with bitter mouths and skin like wrinkled orange tinfoil..." I've always thought that a very good description. I forget where I read it, though. Sounds a bit like Tom Wolfe, perhaps.

Well, anyway, Trump is a man from that environment: rich, but with no style and with the false (and vulgar) perception that permatan is what rich people should have - to show how rich they are, you see. It goes with all the hideous gold bling in his apartments, a testament to his lack of taste.

But maybe he has so much in the way of gold fittings etc., that he can top up his tan just from the light reflected from it all - it's a thought. :D

Hang on, he's a man of impeccable taste.
