Will God give us what is good for us?

I'm just wondering, if we trust in God, will we get what is good for us?

Psalm 37:4

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart

Have you seen that scripture come true in your life?

Obviously we will have annoying crosses to carry and suffering and death, but will those be best for us?

Those who delight in the Lord desire His will on earth. They will see it.

Yes if we trust in the Lord; He will give us what is good.

I feel that "if we trust in God, will we get what is good for us". It just may not be while we are here on earth. Remember we made Satan the ruler on earth. I feel it will come after we move on from here and are under Gods reign.

I will wish you well in the mean time.

Obviously I'll say no, given my lack of belief.
But I think there is truth in the following, regardless of faith...

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

The cross isn't always best for us but for others we could be suffering.

This is what the verse means:

Isaiah 32:2 English Standard Version (ESV)

Each will be like a hiding place from the wind,
a shelter from the storm,
like streams of water in a dry place,
like the shade of a great rock in a weary land.

This verse is plural it's about those who "bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ".

According to the Bible "You reap what you sow"
Same as in India "Karma will bite you one day in your butt"
Or third Law of Newton "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction"

To solve the question "do we get what is good for us?" there is no need to know about the God from the Bible IMO

Oh definitely.

Televangelists will vouch for it. Ask Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, or Creflo Dollar.

The gods will do what they must in accord with their role and domain in reality regardless of human affects like "trust" directed (or not directed) at them. There's definitely no correspondence between trusting the gods and getting what is "good" for us in my tradition.

this is good for us
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation,j]">[j]
but deliver us from the evil on
e.k]">[k]’

bread and forgiveness and be virtuous

...

I have asked from God wisdom and that His love would shine through me. I can’t testify for myself, other people have to look and think, has it happened.

I have also prayed that God’s will happens in my life. I feel that it has happened. :)

I think that if we put our trust in Him, we will get what Is good for us. Not necessarily what we want at the time, but what is best. God knows what we really need, and will give it to us, in this system or in the next, if we trust in him and act with his will. People change their minds all the time, but God knows what we really want and will bless our positive actions. I see this very true.

“For there is not a word on my tongue, but, look! O Jehovah, you already know it all.” (Psalm 139:4)

I don't know if this is in the bible but it is in the Quran and a good quote along the lines of "god will not put on any man a burden heavier than what they can carry"

I think of this as a philosophical question not a religious one. But I don't have an answer to it - though I am kind of superstitious and believe (somewhere in my mind) that everything happens for a reason and that he end will be well.
