Will Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH) unanimously agree on misguidance?

The majority of non-Muslims don't see anything "strange" with Islam, rather it is seen as a religion which empowers individuals or groups to murder those they deem deluded, should they so wish.

That's the actual 'image problem' Islam has nowadays and fanatics like ISIS do nothing to dispel that.

However I believe one would have to deduce that God allows Muslims to be misguided into doing stupid things because of their delusions.

I believe it was not reported what Jesus wrote. It was reported that he wrote in the sand. I believe as God He has no need to do either since He knows what has been written and knew that his disciples would write His words with the guidance of the Paraclete.

I don't deduce that at all. It's a sweeping statement to claim that all Muslims are deluded, just like it is to claim that all Christians are.

I believe a great deal would not seem strange to a Christian. There is the reverence for a rock that seems at odds with not believing in idols but maybe that is just a cultural misunderstanding on my part.
