witch burning *Warning: graphic content*

Holy mackerel! This sort of behaviour is just so bizarre. It's like the inhumanity of the holocaust. What amazed me was how the victims were almost accepting the "punishment". I burn my finger and move like heck. Truly shocking stuff, but it didn't surprise me given the locality.

This is what gets me about people who claim all cultures must be tolerated and allowed to exist. This sort of primitive superstition should be stamped out and obliterated.

There are reports in Papua New Guinea of a number of "witch" killings. Yet they share much resemblance to the witch trials in the west in that they are motivated by punishing individuals who violate traditional mores. Yet there is still a strong motivation based upon superstitious rationales that are only encouraged when the governments refuse or are slow to prosecute those who carry out these murders.

there is no god, and if there is, where was he for those people? if there is a god, he as evil as those people doing the burning.

Depends Upon My Mood..
I cant imagine how a human being could be removed from being human over "religion" Or any reason at all.But apparently it happens.

Im deeply saddenned.

My heart aches over such atrocities.

Why does god have to do anything, what makes people think it can? God does not equal Christian god. Though I do agree that what those people did is wrong and disgusting.

warning if you still have faith in humanity a stomache or eyes don't watch the video

(i posted it here so people with curiosity would atleast be old enough too deal with it)

World News - Five people suspected to be witchcrafts were bruterly murded in kisii Nyamataro Village

Well I managed to watch a whole 3 seconds of this video before my human nature kicked in, where is this place?

I don't understand how a human could do this to another human, I'm sickened enough with the treatment of animals in this world so normally make myself oblivious to these things to keep me sane.

)(that these people see the errors of their ways soon and I mean very soon!

There is a God and He sees more than those things everyday in this world. This world is in a mess and that’s why I am a Christian. Because of what Christ has done I know that suffering and things like this will be no more someday. I accept that God is allowing things like this, and when you put all the suffering together each and every day it is worse than anything we can imagine. I am so thankful for Jesus and the hope He brings to believers like me. Because of Him, I know that God knows and understand the suffering we face in this world. I love being a Christian and being able to believe that all suffering will come to an end. Those kinds of horrors will only be a memory. God allows it to teach us from our actions the mess our choices can bring if we selfishly choose the wrong things. We will soon learn how good things can be when we do things His way. And yes I have read the Bible and know how much blood has been shed in its pages. But I love being a Christian because of the hope I have in Christ.

So..... essentially, are you saying that your God allowed this because the people being burned chose not to believe in him, and instead chose to believe in their own path?

Of course love, don't you know that how it works?

No that is not what I am saying at all. I’m saying that this world is in a mess because mankind has the ability to choose our path. It isn’t necessarily individual choice in cases like that as much as the acceptable behavior of the society in that region of the world. I don’t know if those people believed in God or not. I do know that a lot of believers have been burned in the past, so it could happen to anyone. Mankind has chosen a path that puts everyone in harm’s way because of the consequences of our actions. If you are ever unfortunate enough to find yourself in a position where the masses get caught up in some idea that you should be burned for some insane reason, you too will be overcome by the evil of this world. It is wonderful to be able to hope in Jesus Christ and know that that kind of insanity will pass away.
