Women make great leaders in politics

Err, can I argue with your list.
Thatcher was horrible to working class people.
May is incompetent.

Don't get me wrong women can be fine, so can men be.
Gender is no barrier and no advantage either.
Benazir Bhutto was hardly a shining star and though I loved Thatcher, many in Brittan think she was a terrible Prime Minister - one of the worst.

As Donald Trump shows, being a businessman doesn't make you a good politician.

Women make bad businesspeople.

Management (something women aren't good at) is a science, leadership (something women excel at) is an art.

She makes John Major look strong. She's terrible.

"Major went on to lose the 1997 general election five months later, in one of the largest electoral defeats since the Great Reform Act of 1832."

Thatcher had a crappy first term too (the miners' strike and the recession) but then she went on to win the next election with an increase in votes (thanks to defending the Falklands and the economic boom following the recession). Give May time

Oh yeah, she helped close down my father's job, he never worked again. She gave no compensation to the company (like the bankers got later). She turned the police into the hated people they are today - look up Hillsborough and Orgreave. She promoted greed and minimised compassion. I could go on...
But yes, she was awesome

Yes she should've reinvested into the North and manufacturing industries. However, she slashed income tax (which at the time was 44% minimum, 87% average, 98% maximum) and smashed trade unions (who made us ration electricity to 3 days a week).

Also contrary to modern belief, public spending increased under Thatcher. She tightened the money supply though.

Isn't it a little sexist to vote for someone simply because of what they were born with between their legs? This could also apply to colour of skin, religion, and what not.
I'll agree with "simply because". I would no more want a female "Trump" than I do the male version and there are some raving loonie women in the Republican party today.

There are reasons beyond "simply" if there's a well-qualified woman candidate. One is to be a role model for young girls who would see that their future was not limited by gender. This happened with Star Trek's Uhura and I suspect this year's winning women hockey team will be inspirational as well.

There's Elizabeth Keane on Homeland to offer an example
of a female Presi....uh.....maybe not the best example.

I'd like to see some evidence for your income tax figures ...87% average!!!!!! I don't think so.

Sorry I meant 83% average. The maximum tax was 98% as Dennis Healy wanted to tax us "until the pips squeak"
I still would like evidence of that figure, I acknowledge that the top rate of tax was v high; but you say that overall we were paying an average of 83% in taxes - I'm getting on now, I have always earned above the average wage, I've never paid anywhere near 83%. Now then IIRC he did raise the top rate of tax to that figure. BUT only about 10% of the population paid that figure, so the average will be considerably less.

Women seem to make great corporate leaders as well.

A recent study stated that companies with management boards that had women directors were less prone to fluctuation, more stable and were better bets in the stock market.

Do More Women on the Board Mean Better Results?

Horrible article. It correlates increases with women without establishing the business plan, the products sold, the market that product exists in, what if any input any individual had in any part of the business plan, etc.

It also shows the authoritarian streak of Merkel by mandating quotes.
