Not only one of the most poignant set of lyrics ever penned, her's is the quintessential rendition. Probably the best song to come out of WWII.

Thanks for sharing.

Not a problem! I'm glad you like it. That song simply seduces me.
It should seduce everyone.

And for a little more fun:

Dionne Warwick - Walk On By (Burt Bacharach's Best) - YouTube

Mmmmmmm...
A bell-clear voice on pitch with clean diction and a lilting delivery is always a delight to listen to. Good pick.

I'm not really hung up on foreign singers singing in a foreign language, but I find Nana Mouskouri's voice a real pleasure.

Most excellent. I went to look up on an album, and found Grand Gala, and see how high it's ranked in the albums of all time.

Took less than 2 minutes. =D

Just for a little change of pace, I've been going through this 60's, early 70's finding all the little weird nuggets of the time that I can, and happened to come across this album, which is no doubt taking place in the sexiest, most fanciful meadow.

Hmmm... can't get the damn player to work. One might have to click!
