Words that you usually misspell

Emanate. I always forget that it's not spelled ''eminate.'' And similar. I sometimes want to spell it as ''similiar.''

What words do you often spell incorrectly?

As I've aged, I started having more trouble with vowels and having to sound out the word to remember the vowel to be used.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I rarely have secuess with success.

Same with vacuum. Hey I got it!!

I cheated though. *Grin*

Loose and lose is probably my most common spelling. Asides from that, German wrecked my ability to ability to keep the Is and Es in proper order in English, and basically had me having to just memorize how to spell them in English again because in English it lacks the "making sense" and consistency that German has when Is and Es are next to each other.

Haha. When my hands work right, it's usually the words: becuase, synonmn, acronym (ooh, go that right!), and thasorus, and I have dexlexia with the word and, usually nad. Most times I can catch it. Oh, dexlexia too.. or is it deslexia. oh and I could never could figure out who we put on pedestals or petestals. Usually teh (another dislexia word) latter I use. Most words I mispell because I type them as I hear them in my head. I actually really say petestal even though that's not how it's spelled.

This is without spell check.

I tend to get an idea, and then speed-type trying to get the idea out before I forget the info.

SO, - not only do I tend to misspell words, I leave out groups of letters in my haste.

Thank goodness for spellcheck. :D And eye check. :) And Edit. :p

While I consider myself to be a pretty good speller, the two words I find myself using the backspace key on most often is "necessary" and "consciousness."
