Words You Hate

THAT'S funny! I happen to REALLY enjoy using that particular C word!

Are we sure we're talking about the same C word here? ;) :p

Also I think for some odd reason I dislike certain onomatopoetic words like "smack" and "splat" - although I can't explain why!

I can't really imagine another C word that would get you in trouble if you wrote it on the forums... can you?

Rhymes with..... runt?

oh no you di'int
That's the one.

To contribute: I loathe the word "pop" in any aspect. Can't explain why either.

I don't like when people use the word "pop" or "soda" for Coke. I am southern sooooo it's Coke.

Like..."Can I get a coke?"
"Yeah, what kind?"
Then you would specify...coke, diet coke, sprite, dr. pepper.....

:D

I don't like the words "pop" and "soda" at all...

I've found "fizzy" is the best word to use, if not the brand name.

Also, I really really don't like "groceries", "Dishes" "washing" and "cleaning" and words of a similar nature either :p

Can I get a fizzy?! Well...someone might think I'm asking for something else entirely but whatevs! :p

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Oh wow, I can't believe this conversation because my kids and I have LONG AND ONGOING conversations about words we hate. Here are some:

vomit
corpse
phlegm
crotch
vulgar
mucous
slime
pus
saliva
spittle
bowel movement
canker
pustule
blackhead
whitehead
maggot
dismember

There are others, I just can't remember them all right now.

wait..

It's only coke that's called pop and soda?

I thought it was all fizzy....?

As in... also includes:
Sprite
7up
Mountain Dew
Pepsi
Coke
L&P
etc etc etc

No I mean different regions of the US called it different things. Like that whole list you have there of 7UP, Sprite, Mt. Dew, etc. would be called soda in one region, pop in another and coke in another......

I've noticed people use soda in the North, coke in the South and pop in the West but of course it could be anything...personal preference, whatever. :D

I remember some rural areas down south where they called it "soda water". Someone asked me if I wanted a soda-water once and I didn't know what they were talking about.

One word I can't stand is sprigniddlewompinabelsordymackinaybleishindale. don't ask me what it means, that's what most beurocrats sound like to me on the phone.

I HATE the word "cuckold" or "cuckolded". It sounds DIRTY to me. It sounds like something a man does to his wife in the privacy of their bedroom "Awww man, I sure cuckolded the wife last night. Yeah, baby."
hahahaha more like what a man does to another man's wife in front of him in the privacy of their bedroom! ooops, was that TMI???

i also dont like moist... espcially the way shaggy says it!
and PANTIES i cringe at that word!
although moist panties is not a bad thing!!!! just if we could use other words to describe such a thing! oh wait we do have some...
