Perhaps you misread my sarcasm, which is directed at the ignorant who fail to grasp the context of Bhagavad Gita.

I have utmost respect for the Vedas and Upanishads.

I was referring to Bhagavad Gita, which I have read many, many times over almost 50 years since I was teenager.

My point is that the context of the Gita is Arjuna's duty to destroy the army of the Kauravas, as a result of the corruption of those wealthy elites who were abusing the people.

Arjuna was obliged to fight.

It seems that this is overlooked as the basis of the conversation which constitutes Bhagavad Gita.

There are things worse than nukes. Imagine a drone releasing a canister of weaponized HIV. A fast acting, aerosol, version of the disease genetically modified to mutate back to the original in a few years. GMO is a thing, you know. And virtually every previous advancement in technology, for all of history, has quickly been weaponized.
Sticks became clubs.
Flint became arrows.
Metal became swords.
Gunpowder became firearms.
Microbes became smallpox blankets.
Fission became A-bombs
The internet became malware.

Now we have GMO. Living weapons. What will happen with them?

When I lay off "the news", I find the world a much more peaceful place. Why should I let myself be emotionally manipulated by what -- let's face it -- is second-hand (mis?)information like some puppet on strings?

They say no news is good news, and since I've gotten rid of it, I have to agree.

There is that, but there is also that the media reports that most of the world supports Trump's aggressive actions.

Rather than worry about which marionette will win the election, I strongly urge you to spend the next few days ensuring that you have an emergency water supply, and plenty of tinned fish, milk powder, a stocked medical kit and whatever else you may think you need in a major meltdown.

I'm not even going to bother posting links - there is a lot of crucial info emerging on the web. Google WW3. Europe, Russia and the US are accelerating preparations for a major war, and for population control. The signs are unmistakeable.

Why is no one here discussing this ? It is an eerie silence...

Absolutely. We, generally speaking, create our own reality by what we feed our brains. People, in general, seem to have a tendency to love drama, gossip, scandal, and disaster, so that's what they repeatedly cram into their brain, day after day. The results are pretty consistent and predictable.
