World will be destroyed today

I now know why they made such a prediction

This experiment has a chance of doing that. Not likely but could happen. :p
Well, if NASA's in on it, you know it's a conspiracy theory to Destroy the Earth -- just like all those fake moon landings... 'Cause everyone with a brain stem knows that John Glenn was an alien, and that NASA works closely with the Greys to Take Over the Earth via all those underground tunnels...

I guess we can speculate all we want whether they are in on it or not, but an alien invasion is certainly not impossible. Within the billions upon billions of galaxies in this universe we've seen, we still haven't scratched the surface of the universe and this is assuming that this universe isn't part of some multiverse, I think one can assume there are aliens that are barbaric and would want to take over the Earth.

Not impossible, but highly improbable, given the vast distances between even the closest stars that may have habitable planets. Plus, why would they want it? Look what we've done to it! The air is brown, the water is oily, the ozone has a hole in it, we're killing off species right and left, filling up large holes in the ground with Styrofoam cups and "disposable" diapers, and creating other big holes from which we're busy depleting resources at an alarming rate. Plus the ones In Charge are the least morally-qualified of all the species.

I don't know why groups try to predict the end anyway. Besides I thought in the Bible it made it quite clear that know one knows when it will end, not even Jesus, only God.

Another End-Of-The-World prediction? I guess there really is one born every minute.

...

Indeed. The Bible does say that no one knows when the world will end. However, since (as far as I'm aware) the Bible doesn't explicitly ban making predictions I guess we'll have to leave it to the Christians to sort out amongst themselves whether doing so renders one a false prophets or a heretic or whatever.

All I can say is that if the world's gonna end today, it better get cracking.

What we don't know is that the world has ended many times now. Like a movie you've been streaming and you've stopped it, gone out to grab dinner, and come back later and started the movie back up. The movie doesn't know it's been turned off. It continues right where it left off, like nothing ever happened. We keep getting turned off and restarted from the exact point we left off. We can't tell that we've gone through all these apocalypses. We keep starting back up again obviously. ;)

Correct. We don't know that. Additionally, we don't know that Keira Knightley writes my name in her diary and draws little smiley hearts next to it.

No. I'm sorry. Your point was already captured perfectly. We don't know that the world has ended may times. Thanks for pointing that out.

Of course you don't know that, she makes smiley faces, in purple ink. Everyone knows that.

I'd say it's highly possible. We haven't a clue on how advanced some are. They may not even use ships but just teleport directly. The water and air aren't totally ruined and it's probably nothing they couldn't fix with their technology. That's assuming they'd want to rule. Some may need humans to procreate with because their own species are dying, or might just destroy everyone or are looking for certain resources they need, like gold, silver ect. It all depends on what they want and the possibility is there.
