You don't specify which one, but no. Absolutely not.
From that point on, I'd see that God as a negative one, and would avoid it at all costs.

It saddens me that people actually feel this way.I believe it is the better option: God is good but my children love sin.
No, I don't think God would ask such things. The stories of Abraham and Isaac and the Book of Job didn't literally happen. The Greeks had pretty much the same story as the Abraham and Isaac one, but theirs had the goddess Artemis replace the human sacrifice with a deer. It's a myth to explain why those people no longer practice human sacrifice. Christians use it as a symbolic foreshadowing of Christ's willing sacrifice, too.would you choose God over your Children.
It matters which child? You don't specify which one…
Ah, grammatical errors. It matters which child?
"Over them", how?would you choose God over your Children.
Not sure this is what the OP meant.Yes, and I already have - by refusing to be a breeder on a planet that is suffering from a sixth mass extinction event that is in part caused by human overpopulation.
Any good god would make children a priority over him/her.would you choose God over your Children.
I'm sorry to hear that.my children love sin.
Child sacrifice was a thing back then.Children own themselves, to call them a "gift" is to call them property
Abraham was a disgusting and severely messed-up human being
If I had kids I would never even contemplate killing them just because a person who is big and powerful told me to, that would be depraved
Abraham failed a test
Some would say so. It's something of a matter of perspective. Certainly, the expectation that "thou must breed" is still pervasive enough in this country that refusal to participate is still seen as a "radical" act.Not sure this is what the OP meant.
Are potential children that are not conceived your children? Or even children at all?
I know but it's still messed up and in this day and age people should know better and not uphold Abraham as an upright bloke and a paragon of virtue, because he really wasn'tChild sacrifice was a thing back then.
The Bible as it is written and accepted by Christians, tells a different story on that line.I believe my experience is that God doesn't play.
You can't think of an example, I'm not going to guide you through this. For example ?
That does not at all answer the question, you simply posed another question you somehow think is related.Suppose you have 2 childrens.
Would you choose your one child over your another one ? then what will be your answer ?
Was not connected but could be a good exampleI assumed that it was a direct reference to Abraham. Of course, I may be mistaken.
Tell that to Abraham, or the Children that died at Waco.I believe my experience is that God doesn't play.
Ok, Waco Texas.I don't think that the author of this OP is capable of presenting any specific scenario.
