Life is precious to God. To take ones life with no idea of what compels one - as in check with doctor are there medical imbalances - is to treat it with no regard for the Creator of life. Consider this profound verse at Revelation 4:11 "You are worthy, Jehovah our God to receive the glory and the honor and the power because you created all things and because of your will they came into existence and were created." Did you know God has feelings? When Israel wander after leaving Egypt for 40 years Psalm 78:40 said - "How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness And made him feel hurt in the desert." What we do and how we live our lives can have an affect on God.
Proverbs 27:11 "Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice. So that I can make a reply to him who taunts me."
Life is precious and Ecclesiastes 3:11 says "He (God) has made everything beautiful in its time. He has even put eternity in their (men's) heart yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish."
To answer your question if one would give their life for God - yes I would but I know why I would be doing it for. Matthew 5:10 Happy are those who have been persecuted for righteousness sake since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them."
Matthew 24: 9 "Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name."
Perhaps you may need to explore the purpose of life then maybe you will know what you truly want to do. It seems very bleak that you would consider a course that would bring grief and devastation to your family and friends. God sent his Son so you could come to know him and have everlasting life. John 17:3 3:16 It doesn't make sense that God would create such beauty and variety even in human life to expect one to die without you knowing why? James 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, reasonable, ready to obey, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial not hypocritical.
